Stardew Valley is a game for everyone. It’s available on any console you prefer: PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and even mobile! The player can spend their time maximizing the profits from their crops, or just earn enough to get by while they explore the local mines. And, of course, there’s a romance option to fit anyone’s tastes. Leah is one of these bachelorettes from Stardew Valley. She lives in Cindersap Forest, just outside of Pelican Town....

Recent February’s Steam Game Festival ran for one week, and granted access to over 500 games for the players, allowing them to explore a wide set of different titles. It is now reported that the next Game Festival will take place in summer, providing PC players with even more demos to try. The first-ever Steam Game Festival took place back in 2019 as a part of The Game Awards show. Video game developer Night Dive Studios reminds fans about the Kickstarter funding campaign set to begin next week for its prospective System Shock reboot. During a discussion with the outlet Polygon, Night Dive Studios’ CEO Stephen Kick has now declared that the developer’s forthcoming System Shock title is now longer a remaster, but a reboot, and that its Kickstarter campaign launches next week at 12:00 PM PT on Tuesday, June 28....

Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V took the gaming world by storm earlier this year, breaking sales records and receiving widespread critical acclaim. While the GTA franchise might be the longest-running and most successful of Rockstar’s franchises, the studio’s occasional exploration of other open worlds are also fondly remembered by fans. Old West sandbox game Red Dead Redemption is at least as good as any of the GTA games, but the social microcosm of Bullworth Academy in high school misery simulator Bully is also a must-play from Rockstar’s library....

Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada’s recent YouTube vlog (courtesy of Kotaku) revealed how close he came to causing a diplomatic rift between Capcom and Microsoft thanks to a failed prank on his long-time rival, Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono. For years, Harada and Ono had engaged in a friendly rivalry, posting their shenanigans on Twitter to the amusement of both Tekken and Street Fighter fans. As Harada recounts, this rivalry very nearly landed Capcom in hot water with Microsoft at Gamescom years ago....

At long last, the Journey’s End update for Terraria has arrived and adds a mountain of new content for players new and old to check out. When I was younger, one of my favourite parts of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker was Tetra, the tomboyish pirate captain who would eventually turn out to be - spoilers - Princess Zelda, a transformation that saw her being slightly whitewashed and donning a gorgeous flowing dress. This transition into a beautiful princess was amazing to witness, but it also took away from the charming and daring personality that had defined Tetra up to that point....

Several big budget films have begun to swing back into production around the globe, not least of which is DC’s hotly anticipated The Batman starring Robert Pattinson. Reportedly, Warner Bros. Studio Leavesden is preparing for production to restart in September, after it was put on hold back in March. It makes sense that the studio is looking to begin production again, with construction for the sets having begun last month according to reports, and more news expected for the film’s upcoming panel at DC FanDome....

Earlier this month, Sony revealed the DualSense, which is the controller for its upcoming next-generation console, the PlayStation 5. However, unlike the PlayStation 5 itself, Sony surprised its massive fan-base by also revealing the design of the actual controller itself. Apart from its departure from the DualShock label, the DualSense contains tons of new features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, as well as a new design that sports a two-tone color scheme....

Hot on the heels of the earlier release of The Division’s Last Stand DLC trailer, Ubisoft has also revealed the full extent of the changes being introduced by the game’s free Update 1.6 patch. Update 1.6, which will feature a number of big changes to The Division’s multiplayer, will release for free tomorrow. Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment will also be releasing the game’s final expansion, Last Stand, on the same day, which should amount to one of the most important days in The Division’s history outside of launch....

The Elder Scrolls Online has finally come to Stadia, after a long wait by fans who, for a long time, only knew it was lined up for release in 2020. It is also the new platform’s first streaming MMO, complete with crossplay integration, which means you’ll be able to switch between your PC and Stadia at will. There are currently no plans for Stadia/console crossplay, as Stadia’s version runs on PC servers....

In celebration of The Game Awards 2016, Microsoft is hosting a sale featuring each of the titles to be nominated including Doom, Dark Souls III, and Battlefield 1. The Game Awards wouldn’t be half of what it is without the sponsorship and support of several major publishers, many of which contribute world premieres to debut during the event. It’s an excellent opportunity to celebrate the great games of the year while also looking forward to 2017....
