At the end of August, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment pulled back the curtain on two long-rumored and much-anticipated titles based on popular DC superhero comics: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and Gotham Knights. Both properties have solid bases of hardcore fans which should help the games at launch, but WB has even better secret weapons up its sleeves. Usually, releasing new titles in crowded landscape of similar games makes it harder to stand out amongst the competition....

In response to Disney’s tweet that read: “A brand-new Star Wars feature with acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi is in development. Get ready for an unforgettable ride!” Waititi took a screenshot and posted it to his Instagram with the caption: “What?? Netflix’s adaptation of Red Candle Games’ horror adventure Detention has arrived on the streaming platform and is waiting to be watched. The series will be staggered - unlike Netflix’s regular binge format- to coincide with the episodes’ release in Taiwan, and the first two episodes are available to watch now. Overshadowing the 2019 movie of the same name, Detention is a collaboration between Netflix and Taiwan’s independent Public Television Service, to bring a fresh take on the game’s narrative....

While some may consider the last 10 years the weakest for the horror genre in gaming, these 10 games from the last decade are some of the best the genre has ever seen. Last year, Hideo Kojima treated gamers to a frightening playable teaser called P.T. that was meant to offer a taste of what they could expect from Silent Hills. Horror enthusiasts especially loved P.T.’s penchant for scares and its originality in conjuring them, and couldn’t wait to see what Kojima’s fully realized vision play out in the twisted world of Silent Hills....

This is an exciting time for Gears of War fans.
