Take-Two’s CEO says the publisher is interested in backing more remasters like Bioshock: The Collection in the future so here’s hoping Red Dead Redemption is on the list. The big news out of yesterday’s Take-Two earnings call was that Grand Theft Auto V has now shipped more than 70 million copies. It’s clearly been a good couple of weeks for the publisher, with the positive earnings news coming shortly after the trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 broke the Internet....

Bandai Namco reveals that the home and console release date of Tekken 7 will be coming imminently, with the news of the fighting game’s release coming next week. Ever since Tekken 7 was announced during EVO 2014, fans of fighting games have been waiting expectantly for news on when a home release of the game would be on the cards. After all, it’s been a long time since the franchise’s players have had a new game from the series....

I love lists. I love ranking my favourite games, albums, films, TV shows… you name it. Mass Effect 2, Red, Lost In Translation, and The Simpsons, for the record. Of all the pop culture things I’d consider to be in my ‘best of’ lists though, the one I struggle with the most is Game of Thrones. TV shows in general are harder to rank than movies, because they’re episodic they can be hit and miss, whereas a movie is one, unbroken experience....

There have been many debates about what is the best type in Pokemon, and it’s very hard to argue against the newest type: Fairy. By itself, it’s great defensively; it completely walls a very strong type in Dragon, while also resisting Bug, Fighting, and Dark. Meanwhile, it’s weak to two subpar offensive types: Poison and Steel. All of that is good, but how well does it stand on its own? Even for a relatively new type, there’s already enough pure Fairy-types to make a list and rank them from worst to best, including the older Pokemon that gained the type retroactively....

Skyrim is filled to the brim with powerful enemies for players to challenge. However, there are a few enemy types that can’t hold up to even the weakest of players and are easily defeated even when the player is using novice magic or weaponry. Usually, enemies are supposed to present a challenge for the player but these ones definitely don’t! The 1.2 update for The Division will make an important change to the game’s Dark Zone, as per information shared in a State of the Game stream earlier today. One of the biggest selling points of The Division is its Dark Zone mechanic, stipulated areas where players are able to double-cross one another in the pursuit of better gear and weaponry. Now, Ubisoft has announced a tweak to this element of the game that might make it a little easier to hang on to your inventory....

While it was once considered an entirely niche market, online card games have now become a staple on PC and mobile devices. What was once a genre almost completely dominated by Magic: the Gathering Online has blossomed into an attractive revenue stream for major video game companies, and developers have begun to take notice. Blizzard’s Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft totally changed the game by capitalizing on the elements of card games that could only be done in a video game medium, relying on RNG-based effects and smooth, crisp card animations rather than overly-complicated mechanics that reduce the amount of luck involved in a given game....

The Elder Scrolls 6 will eventually be part of a long legacy of games developed by Bethesda Softworks. It is well known for its penchant for developing open-world RPGs and have attempted to make its games as immersive as possible. In its pursuit of realism, Bethesda Softworks created a system seen in Skyrim that should make its appearance in The Elder Scrolls 6 on launch. This system is the survival mode that came packaged with The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition as well as the one seen one year after launch for Fallout 4....

The entire cast of Critical Role, the Twitch show where voice actors play Dungeons & Dragons live, has been added to the cast of Pillars Of Eternity 2: Deadfire. The announcement was made via Obsidian’s Twitter page, with an announcement from Matthew Mercer, Critical Role’s resident dungeon master (and the voice of Eder and Aloth in the first Pillars OF Eternity game). What starts off as him being excited to be returning to voice those characters again in the sequel eventually turns into an over-excited Critical Role love-in as the rest of the party chimes in that they all want parts in the game, too....

The change from side quests in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been drastic. While Odyssey was rich with what we might consider to be “normal” side quests, Valhalla has not only greatly decreased the number of side quests available, but they’re structured a bit differently too. In Valhalla, the side quests aren’t necessarily full, separate adventures, but rather random, quick encounters. There has been a lot of debate about whether or not this was a good move from Ubisoft....

Diana Rigg, best known for her iconic turn on The Avengers, and memorable roles on Game of Thrones and Theatre of Blood, died Sept. 10, at home with her family at the age of 82, according to Variety. “It is with tremendous sadness that we announce that Dame Diana Rigg died peacefully early this morning. She was at home with her family who have asked for privacy at this difficult time,” her agent Simon Beresford said in a statement....
