Swamp Thing Episode 5 Review Drive All Night

This Swamp Thing review contains spoilers. Damn, this show deserves a better fate. I have wanted to avoid focusing on the negative too much, but we are at the halfway point of Swamp Thing’s first, and currently only, season, and things are picking up – but I am skeptical whether we’ll get a satisfying conclusion (even thought the finale was supposedly reworked to provide closure). “Drive All Night,” (yet another Springsteen song title turned episode title) is a visually exciting ghost story with a creepy tone, and a plot that drives Abby’s arc forward....

Swamp Thing Episode 6 Review The Price You Pay

This Swamp Thing review contains spoilers. Swamp Thing episode 6, titled “The Price You Pay” sees the coming together of human threats while Swampy moves closer to embracing the Green, the Blue Devil almost arrives, and the Phantom Stranger shows up in a memory – but it is my least favorite ep thus far because of the lack of horror, and writing that underserves Abby. The attack by Avery’s trackers in the opening minutes is an enjoyable action sequence....

Team Ninja S Fumihiko Yasuda Prefers Naruto To One Piece

In a story that will shock the world, staff members from the studio that created the Ninja Gaiden series prefer a manga about ninja to a manga about pirates. Truly this is the debate that shall never cease. One Piece is one of the largest comic book properties the world has ever seen, rivalling titans like Batman and Superman, and for a long time, Naruto was considered to be the only true rival....

A fan of The Division drafts out a map which shows the best Dark Zone path to take when one wants to farm contaminated loot drops while leveling up quickly. The Division has rocketed off to a great start, though many fans are still getting acclimated to the harsh PVP territories within the game that are called Dark Zones. In The Division, these zones not only present challenging computer-controlled enemies to the players, but also allow PVP combat so agents can contest loot drops, allowing them to escape with valuable high-end weaponry....

The Expanse S Cas Anvar Won T Be In Season 6

This The Expanse article contains MAJOR spoilers for the Season 5 finale. Proceed with caution. Buried in Deadline’s November 2020 announcement that The Expanse has been renewed for a sixth (yay!) and final (oh) season, was another very important news item: Cas Anvar, who has played Martian pilot Alex Kamal in the first five seasons of the show, will not be returning for the final season. This announcement comes after an official investigation by a third party on behalf of Alcon Studios due to the many allegations of abuse and harassment made against Anvar by both coworkers and fans, some of whom were under the age of 18....

The Green Knight Review A King Arthur Movie Imbued With Dark Magic

It’s been observed that to create, you must first destroy. There’s truth in this axiom, although at least in the case of Hollywood it’s worth a partial amendment. First, you must understand what it is you are destroying to make way for something new. Take the poems and tales of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, including Sir Gawain and the Green Knight: As centuries old IP, these stories have been adapted countless times, including recently—and often by filmmakers with no greater concern for their appeal than the public domain title they’ve decided to exploit....

The Matrix Revisits One Of Its Biggest Mysteries In Haunting Images

It’s been six months since the release of The Matrix Resurrections, the unexpected fourth entry in the cyberpunk saga that brings back Neo and Trinity for one last battle against the Machines. Since it bowed in December, diehard fans have continued to debate the film’s merits. Is it too beholden to nostalgia or is it too apathetic about the franchise’s storied past? Star Wars Project Maverick What We Know About The Secret Game

After an incredibly rocky start, EA is getting slightly better at churning out Star Wars games. We’re still far from satisfied with their handling of the franchise, but at least Fallen Order was a decent Dark Souls-esque romp and Battlefront II is in much better shape than it was previously (plus it’ll be free soon, so that’s a nice bonus.) The big question now is what’s next for EA and their future plans for adventures set in a galaxy far, far away....

Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League Should Steal The Best Feature From Marvel S Avengers

Rocksteady Studios finally announced its highly anticipated followup to the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham trilogy to be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Not only will this title be set in the universe established in the Batman: Arkham games, but will feature an entirely new cast of playable characters with the morally-grey Suicide Squad. Complete with a roster of four classic DC villains as playable characters (Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark) and a campaign that supports co-op play throughout, the game seems to have made quite an impression despite debuting with only a cinematic trailer....
