The various bachelors and bachelorettes of Stardew Valley are full of surprises for the player to discover. They’re designed that way — it’s all the more engaging to slowly learn about the NPC you’re trying to woo! However, in cases like Sebastian’s, just tracking him down can be a bother, and marrying him can be a real effort. Sebastian is the son of Robin, the local carpenter. He’s an introverted young man that spends most of his time in his room — so, until the farmer works up enough friendship with him to enter there, they’ll have to track him down on his brief trips out at night, or to the kitchen to fuel up....

While it released to mixed reviews, there’s no denying that State of Decay 2 has otherwise been a successful venture for Microsoft, debuting on Xbox Game Pass and surpassing over 2 million active players. Considering this, it’s no surprise that Undead Labs is supporting the game with DLC, and the first DLC pack, the Independence Pack, is available now. Fittingly, the Independence Pack for State of Decay 2 is 4th of July-themed, adding an assortment of fireworks-based weaponry for $4....

State of Decay 3 is still in the earliest stages of development, but there’s little doubt that Undead Labs’ CG trailer for the game was impressive. With the plague spreading to animals, an open frozen tundra, and the emphasis on a specific character, it seems the team may have lofty ambitions given that it now has full Microsoft backing (following a deal made in 2014 growing into a full 2018 acquisition)....

A free update for Steven Universe: Unleash the Light has added Connie and Lion to the game as a playable duo. Unleash the Light will now introduce Connie and Lion to the team when players revisit the Temple of Light. The duo is mostly attack-oriented, but also have the unique ability to change the position of enemies on the battlefield using Lion’s roars. Connie and Lion aren’t the only big things to be added with this update, with a brand new mode also being introduced....

While the world is excited about the new information teased about Harvest Moon: One World’s male protagonist, many fans of the series are still playing the remake of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town that was released earlier this year. The game is pretty difficult in places; it kind of drops the player into the world without much in the way of tutorials or help. But no need to flounder blindly to start growing some plants....

No More Heroes 3 was one of the most exciting announcements to come from Nintendo’s E3 Direct last year. The surprise announcement came after creator Goichi “Suda51” Suda teased it briefly before the show and during the ending of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Now, almost a full year later, we finally have our first look at the upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive. Suda51 fans will know that the cult classic game designer of titles such as The Silver Case, Killer7, and Lollipop Chainsaw is no stranger to referencing his favorite pieces of nerd media in his work, with No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle going so far as to feature a cameo from famed Japanese action and horror movie director Takashi Miike, and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes featuring a plethora of indie game collaborations....

Video game characters have died in just about every way imaginable. Countless have been shot, many have been bludgeoned, and many more have fallen into bottomless pits, never to be seen again. Out of all the ways for video game characters to bite the dust, though, few methods are as intense or as anxiety-inducing for the player as drowning....

Playing video games online has been an escape for many in 2020, but one hobby had to drastically change in order to stick around during the pandemic. Tabletop gaming usually involves people meeting up in order to play, but fans had to take their sessions online throughout the year so that groups could keep going. A deleted scene from Sonic the Hedgehog not only gives a glimpse of how the movie’s story could have been very different, but also shows off a very early and crude design for Baby Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog was released on VOD this week well ahead of schedule due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Earlier this week Take-Two Interactive, publisher for Grand Theft Auto 5, confirmed what most gamers have been speculating for months now: the highly anticipated next entry in Rockstar Games’ open-world crime series will be releasing in the spring of 2013. Even before Take-Two’s confirmation, a piece of marketing for the game – focused on teasing pre-orders – teased the date, but it wasn’t until Take-Two stepped in with the confirmation that things became real....

Team Rocket is fine, at best. I was enamored with them as a kid, but as we were introduced to the brilliantly stupid Team Aqua and Team Magma in Gen 3, or forced to deal with the more nuanced approach of Team Galactic in Gen 5, it became starkly apparent that Giovanni’s ragtag band of thugs just weren’t that intriguing. Stoic’s tactical RPG The Banner Saga makes its way to consoles, and still manages to deliver a fantastic, captivating story alongside a fun and challenging battle system. When The Banner Saga released in 2014, it proved to be a surprise hit with RPG fans. Created by a team of former BioWare employees under the name Stoic, the studio took to Kickstarter to fund the game. The response was spectacular, both in terms of funding and the end result....

In March, Warner Bros. and director Matt Reeves are bringing a whole new vision of Gotham City and the Batman mythos to the big screen, with Robert Pattinson starring as a more hyper-violent version of the vigilante. In fact, we’ve already watched Pattinson dole out beating after savage beating in the trailers leading up to the movie’s release, but when we spoke to him for our The Batman cover story in the new issue of Den of Geek magazine, the actor was excited, even jovial, about where his Dark Knight might go next....

One goal every player in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has is to create the best build possible by carrying exceptional weapons and being a strong, versatile fighter. The best way to enhance your weapons - aside from upgrading them of course - is to enhance them with equippable runes. These runes can be bought, looted from chests, or taken off the dead bodies of elites or Zealots. A plethora of runes exist that run the gamut in terms of buffs and rarity, and there are some exceptional weapon runes in each category....

Did you know that there was a Super Mario manga? Did you know that as of December 8 some of the stories have been translated to English? Well, me neither. Super Mario Manga Mania is based on Super Mario-kun, a long running manga started by Yukio Sawada in 1991. It has had over 50 volumes, with the latest one being published as recently as this October. The Manga follows Super Mario-kun and his weird adventures all over the Mushroom Kingdom....

As The Evil Within 2 fans might have expected, the forthcoming sequel from Tango Gameworks will allow players to not only customize the story’s protagonist Sebastian, but also his various weapons as well. However, it looks as if the next entry in the series will provide a customization system that’s a lot more expansive and adaptable than its predecessor, as Bethesda has released a brand new trailer detailing how the management of the main character and his sundry arms is going to work....

With the release of The Evil Within 2 set for the end of this week on Friday, October 13, 2017, survival horror fans were recently given a sneak peek at what’s to come in the game, as the title’s trophy list for the PlayStation 4 version of the game leaked online. Now, the publisher Bethesda and developer Tango Gameworks have decided to further stoke the flames of excitement by releasing a rather bloody and gruesome red band launch trailer to celebrate the impending arrival of the game....
