This Star Wars: The Mandalorian article contains spoilers. Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian, “The Heiress,” packs an absolute punch. Not only does the episode mark the live-action debut of Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze, who is played once again by the wonderful Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), but it also brings Mercedes Varnado (better known as the WWE superstar Sasha Banks) to the franchise. After weeks of speculation, we finally learn during the action-packed half-hour that Varnado plays a new Mandalorian character named Koska Reeves....

So the new Star Trek: Picard trailer has dropped and among the big plot twists it revealed are the fact that Picard & Co are going to be travelling back to Earth, circa 2022 AD. The team working on a fan-made Star Wars: Dark Forces remake has provided an update via an alpha teaser trailer. The footage shows fans what they can expect with Shadow Art Games’s Star Wars project, if and when it releases to the public. Rumors of an upcoming Switch port of Rockstar’s recently-released Red Dead Redemption 2 were all but put to rest a few months ago when the now-retired Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime announced in an interview with Hollywood Reporter that the game wouldn’t be making an appearance on the hybrid gaming machine. Team Fight Tactics: Reckoning is the next set rotation launching on the Public Beta Environment later this week, and I had a chance to play a few games with all of the new units, traits, and items coming to the game. This season, the hot new mechanic coming to the game, Shadow Items, stands to add a lot of variety to what is TFT’s already most complex system. Shadow Items are just like the regular items you’re used to in Team Fight Tactics, but when you combine them with other items, the new combined item will have a much more powerful effect, as well as a self-damaging trade-off....

Dotemu and Tribute Games — of Streets of Rage 4 and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game fame respectively — recently surprised gamers with the announcement of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brawler. Unlike some more tepid releases of late, this installment looks to fully embrace the late ’80s-early ’90s roots of the TMNT games. The game, known as Shredder’s Revenge, looks to be a true spiritual successor to the fan-favorite Turtles in Time, with some elements of the arcade beat-’em-ups tossed in for good measure....

There are many games in development that are aiming to capture the same magic as Pokemon and iterate on its creature-collecting RPG formula, including Vewo Interactive’s Nexomon: Extinction and Crema Games’ evolving MMO Temtem. After weeks of teasing on social media, Crema released the official trailer for Temtem’s Kisiwa Island update, available tomorrow. The update will add its titular Kisiwa Island to the game, where Temtem tamers can find 23 new monsters while stopping an invasion by the evil Clan Belsoto and its leader General X, according to IGN — which exclusively hosted the update trailer....

PlayStation has released a “First Play” trailer featuring tennis star Naomi Osaka, as she received her first hands-on experience with the PS5. The 3-minute trailer gave us some insight into Osaka’s relationship with video games, as well as a closer look at Capcom’s upcoming Resident Evil 8.
