The 2010’s were a fantastic decade for indie games, one that saw the birth of endless creative sandboxes like Minecraft or challenging games like The Binding of Isaac. Among the several indie greats from the decade, Super Meat Boy stood out for its universally acclaimed artstyle and difficult platforming. Due to its widespread success on multiple systems, since 2014 Team Meat had announced a planned sequel to the game titled Super Meat Forever, which was originally slated for 2018, but saw a fair share of delays from the indie studio that pushed it’s release for Christmas 2020....

When he’s not making songs like “Booty Wurk,” T-Pain is streaming on Twitch and interacting with his fans. In between sessions of playing popular Twitch games such as Fall Guys, T-Pain has been sharing different beats he’s made and has done nothing with, but now he’s offering those beats up to streamers to use as background noise. T-Pain put together a huge list of songs in a playlist he calls the Pizzle Pack that streamers can listen to and use during their streams....

American retailer Target announces that it will not be open on Thanksgiving Day 2020. Target becomes the second retailer to announce nationwide holiday closures after Walmart and Sam’s Club confirmed they’d be shut on Thanksgiving Day. In an announcement on its corporate site, Target said that its stores would be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020. Shoppers can “count on getting extra-big savings without the extra-long lines,” said the retailer, and deals will be available before and after November 26....

If there’s anything that has been learned from Kingdom Hearts fans it’s that if there’s news it needs to be reported, no matter how insignificant it might seem. With classic titles like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI, to most, the 90’s represent the golden age of RPGs. Many of the genre’s stand-out titles were produced during this period and the majority could be found on one console — the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Before merging in 2003, SquareSoft and Enix were two of the pioneers of the genre, producing a plethora of top-drawer titles. Together with other developers, they helped create systems and themes that would go on to define modern RPGs....

In the Japanese culture, between the Shinto and Buddhist religions, there are plenty of gods or “deities” to be found. Because of this polytheism, we often see a nod to that in many a Japanese anime series. In the Shinto religion, these deities are referred to as “kami” or “spirits”. The kami possess powers of the elements such as fire, water, air, and various landscapes. They represent both good and evil and can also be spirits of those who have passed on, including emperors and other power figures....

Bug-Types are known for their weak moves and tiny move sets. There are no other types that are considered as weak as this one and with caterpillar Pokémon that it no surprise. Bug catchers in the games are so weak and these creatures are what keeps them in their inferior status as one of the weakest types of trainers. Hopefully, for their sake there will be better Bug-Types introduced in the future!...

Normally, I wouldn’t spend my time specifically writing an entire article about the combat mechanics of a game. This is even truer when the game is a top-down shooter – a genre that I don’t generally tend to gravitate towards. However, I recently had the opportunity to check out the first couple of hours of The Ascent, an upcoming solo and co-op action-shooter RPG set in a dystopian cyberpunk world from indie developer Neon Giant....

When The Big Sleep premiered exactly 73 years ago today, it marked the newest silver screen adventure of Philip Marlowe, Raymond Chandler’s beloved private dick. In this context, Howard Hawks was delivering a hard-hitting crime story to audiences and dealing with seedy subjects so obscured by polite society that they can barely even be seen in the finished film: blackmail, pornography, murder, and the amoral decadence of the one-percent. All of these deliciously morbid ingredients were baked into what became one of the greatest noirs of the post-war era....

World of Warcraft Classic first launched in August of 2019, and players have had a blast reliving this blast from the past. Now that the game is on the latter half of its original content release schedule, with Phase 5 of 6 launching at the end of this month, it is the perfect time to look ahead to the future of Classic with the inevitable release of re-release of The Burning Crusade....

A developer of The Division confirms that both PS4 and Xbox One editions of the game will be able to adjust their graphical settings to improve the frame rate. Ubisoft’s The Division has plenty of graphical splendor to bring to the decrepit, frozen streets of a virus-stricken New York City. Gamers have already had a chance to see how The Division looked in the closed beta from last week, and it became clear pretty quickly that PC gamers had far superior graphical options compared to Xbox One and PS4 players....

The power of Christ may compel you, but at least in Hollywood the Devil still holds some sway. Indeed, an entire trilogy of The Exorcist sequels is now taking shape at Blumhouse Productions, Universal Pictures, and Peacock, and the new movies will even see Ellen Burstyn reprise the role of Chris MacNeil for the first time in 50 years. That’s some damn powerful casting. Producer Jason Blum recently revealed to Den of Geek that David Gordon Green was writing a sequel to the seminal 1973 horror movie which would “be like David’s Halloween sequel,” referencing the 2018 reboot that ignored all the previous Halloween follow-ups and acted as a definitive follow-up to the 1978 original....

This The Expanse review contains spoilers. The Expanse Season 3 Episode 12 and 13 It all came down to a misinterpretation of what the nucleus station wanted and an unwillingness to hear differing opinions from opposing factions. Ashford made a good show of welcoming everyone into the Behemoth, but in the end the gesture was self-serving even as he thought he was saving all of humanity — all glory to the Belt!...

This Friday, Disney+ starts the next step in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spinning out of the Captain America movies, the series follows the character’s two best friends working together (albeit reluctantly) to fill the void left from Chris Evans leaving the series. One of these heroes is Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier, as played by Sebastian Stan. Bucky is an interesting part of Marvel history....
