With election fever having clogged the country’s airwaves, everywhere you looked there are high-vis tabard imposters gurning at cameras, jolly racists on political-themed pub crawls and good-natured buffoons struggling to eat in a visually appealing manner. You’d think, then, that this would be enough grotesquery for now. Of course, you’d be wrong, as we’re about to find out. Surely everyone’s first choice for a parliamentary candidate if he were eligible and willing, Gunnar Hansen (AKA Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw films) this month combines forces with various topless models and a tongue-in-cheek bargain-basement Bogart in the subtly-titled epic we all know and love, 1988’s Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers, on Bluray and DVD....

The unexpected Ubisoft and Capcom crossover with The Division 2 and Resident Evil is out today to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the survival horror series. However, you can’t quite delve into it yet as the servers are down, but they’ll be back up at 15:30 CET, 9:30 EDT, 6:30 PDT, and 14:30 GMT. Originally, community manager Lucipus announced that the servers would be down for scheduled maintenance which would have ended 03:30 am EDT but this has now been extended by three hours to the aforementioned times....

After leaked footage hit the internet back in October 2018 before being quickly removed through copyright strikes by Warner Bros, it quickly became apparent that a Harry Potter RPG was definitely in the pipeline. Better yet, the footage was incredible, showcasing a detailed character creator, explosive combat, and, best of all, a fully explorable Hogwarts school to play around in. As expected, the internet collectively lost its mind. Over a year laterm fans still didn’t know much more about this cryptic Harry Potter game....

From what we have seen of The Last of Us: Part 2 so far, Naughty Dog is continuing to the push boundaries of the PlayStation 4’s graphical capabilities, doing everything it can to make the game look true to life. For an idea of the level of detail going into the anticipated sequel, a newly surfaced piece of art for the character Yara shows some impressive realism. The art has apparently been available for a while, tucked between a variety of other pieces in the portfolio of Lead Character Artist Soa Lee....

It has taken far too long for me to finish The Last of Us: Part 2, though I’m sure most of us can relate to having a substantial game backlog. I went into playing this game with the expectation that I was going to feel devastated. I haven’t been oblivious to the countless articles and posts about how tragic the story is. When Star Wars: Squadrons debuts in October, pilots will be able to choose among eight starfighters: four Imperial and four Rebel. This week Electronic Arts (EA) gave further details on how the starfighters, each of which will belong to a different class, will look and operate, emphasizing that the new cockpits will be a futuristic throwback to the 1970s. Squadrons, which is set after the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star, alternates between two pilots who are flying for New Republic’s Vanguard Squadron and the Empire’s Titan Squadron....

Not too long ago, the developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts teased which maps would be available upon launch in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Galactic Assault mode by providing the number of letters and spaces in each one’s names and allowing fans of the science fiction shooter to make predictions about which ones would make the cut. Now, EA has decided to be more forthright and share all 11 locations that will serve as maps in the mode when the game releases later this year....

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will not give players the option to choose between the light and dark sides of the Force, according to developer Respawn Entertainment. Although some Star Wars games in the past have allowed players to choose their own path with their own respective Force powers, that will not be the case with the upcoming single-player story-driven game. The information came during the gameplay reveal of the game at EA Play at E3 2019 when host Greg Miller asked why a choice between light and dark side would not be present in the game....

Star Wars: Visions, the anthology series of anime shorts released last year, is one of the best things Disney has done with the franchise since the Mouse House acquired Lucasfilm in 2012. So it’s no surprise that the has company quickly set out to work on another animated anthology called Tales of the Jedi, which, despite its instantly recognizable name, has nothing to do with the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic who starred in the now non-canon ’90s comic book series of the same name....

After a much slower than anticipated start with Street Fighter 5, Capcom has continued to gain momentum with its premier fighting franchise. The second season just wrapped up with the final addition of Zeku and the company is now preparing the launch a new version of the game which includes a number of big additions as well as the highly requested Arcade Mode. As if that wasn’t enough, Capcom also revealed that it’s preparing a third season of characters and gave fans the first look this past weekend at the Capcom Cup event....

After years of waiting, Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Rocksteady Studios have finally revealed that they’re working on a Suicide Squad game. While we’re just as shocked as you are that Rocksteady would reveal their next game om a random Twitter post after years of speculation regarding what the studio’s next project would be, that seems to be exactly what has happened. Unless the Rocksteady team is just really looking forward to the upcoming Suicide Squad film from James Gunn, it seems that they’ll stick to the DC universe for their next game....

Young streaming service DC Universe has a good thing going in its first couple of years. First, DC’s streaming arm somehow pulled off a gritty live-action Teen Titans reboot called Titans without anyone laughing them off WarnerMedia’s servers. In fact people kind of liked it! Then they improbably brought Earth’s Strangest Heroes, Doom Patrol, to life in a convincingly weird 15-episode series of the same name. Now, DC Universe has reached into the drawer to pull another beloved character in the DC library: Swamp Thing....

In Pokemon Sword and Shield, players are introduced to a handful of new rival characters. Each of these NPCs aims to become the newest Pokemon Champion. They all may have the same goal, but their personalities are drastically different. Some are friendly while others are hostile. There is no better example of this hostility than Bede. This snooty adolescent does his utmost to stand in the player’s way of becoming the best in the Galar region....

Taiko no Tatsujin: Pop Tap Beat is finally out worldwide via Apple Arcade. It was earlier released only in Europe back in 2019. Now fans of the popular rhythm game can take the beats with them on the go after the game has been localized for the fourth time. The popular Bandai Namco series has been around since 2001 and continues to remain popular. Those familiar with the series may have already been drumming it out on either Nintendo Switch or PS4....

The first full musical track from punk band, The Superweaks, has been featured in the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming punk music album/game split title, Teenage Blob, from developer Team Lazerbeam. The gameplay trailer was posted to YouTube earlier this week, featuring one of the six tracks from The Superweaks that will be included in the game, as well as one of the games that players will get to play during their punk adventure....
