The Division 2 went down briefly for maintenance to push live a new patch. The update will fix many of the problems associated with The Division 2’s skill bug, which can immediately disable skills after use and put them on 15-second cooldown. The Division 2 maintenance took place at 5:15pm EST and the downtime only lasted 15 minutes. Ubisoft admits that not all of the issues around the skill bug will be fixed but players should notice fewer instances of using a skill and then it disappearing....

The Division film is currently moving ahead at full steam. Thus far, the film has acquired a director, writer, well-known cast, and, most recently, a spot at Netflix. The news comes still lacking any solid details about the script or overall plan for the film’s story. For almost a year, PC gamers have had the opportunity to try out upcoming updates for Tom Clancy’s The Division via a Public Test Server, or PTS. Now, console gamers are finally getting in on The Division’s PTS action as invitations have started going out to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers in Europe. As Massive Entertainment revealed on Twitter, the developer will also be sending invites to console gamers in North, Central, and South America tomorrow....

Insomniac Games has revealed that the music coming from your controller when using the Pixelizer HD is actually coming from the Dualsense’s haptics and not the speaker. The fun little fact was revealed over on the studio’s official Twitter, where they showcased a video of it in action. The video shows Rivet charging up the Pixelizer HD, whilst an 8-bit tune plays from the controller. Many players doing this for the first time might think that the noise is coming from the controller’s normal speaker, similarly to how many other weapons in the game function, but as it turns out it’s actually being done by the rumble, as proved by the video when the controller is held on a surface and is clearly using the haptics....

With the reveal trailer for The Evil Within 2 having been recently released during Bethesda’s E3 2017 press conference over the weekend, fans of the survival-horror franchise are no doubt wondering how the narrative from the first installment will carry over into the sequel. With this being the case, Bethesda Softworks has now decided to put out the first story trailer for the title, detailing exactly how much Sebastian has been suffering since the original entry in the series....

Disney Plus series The Mandalorian has nabbed a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Series - Drama. This is a first for the Star Wars series, though it did win seven Emmys for its first season. The nomination, along with so many of the others in top categories, shows how strongly streaming services seem to be taking over the film and TV industry. The Mandalorian, which made it to the top of the streaming lists last year, is nominated in its category against Netflix’s The Crown, Ozark, and Ratched as well as HBO Max’s Lovecraft Country....

It wouldn’t be E3 without a new Smash fighter reveal, and today Sakurai brought the news of the newest character coming to the game. Kazuya is coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate from the Tekken franchise. Kazuya is the 85th character joining the Smash Ultimate roster and the firth released as part of Fighter Pass Volume 2 following Min Min, Steve & Alex, Sephiroth, and Pyra/Mythra. There is one more Smash character still to come as part of the second Fighter Pass, which players can expect sometime later this year....

Last week, graphic novel artist Ida Hartmann and Niila Games announced their new game with a reveal trailer, and boy… what a reveal it is. The game is called Stilstand, and it is centered around the theme of mental health awareness in modern society. Specifically, Stilstand follows a “grim yet hopeful journey of one woman trying to stay afloat in Copenhagen, with help from the shadow monster in her apartment.” The game is touted as a darkly comedic interactive graphic novel, and judging from the trailer, that seems to be a pretty accurate description....

The World Video Game Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for their 2021 induction. This year, Minecraft was inducted to the Hall of Fame, along with Bejeweled, Centipede, and King’s Quest. They, along with the titles induced in years before them, will now be on permanent display near the eGameRevolution exhibit of The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York....

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has introduced three new spirits from Monster Hunter Rise to the Spirit Board for a limited time. The three spirits include the game’s big new monster Magnamalos, the trusty Palico, and the brand new companion Palamute. Players will find the three spirits on the Spirit Board and will be able to claim them after defeating them, whilst also getting more gold for subsequent victories. The event is a limited time one and will run until April 6, although Nintendo has clarified that if you miss them this time around, they’ll be back in the game at some point, and may appear in the spirit shop....

It’s been several months since Teamfight Tactics released the Galaxies set after its January preview. Since then, players have found and adapted the most optimal builds and teams which have stood tall despite many changes or nerfs. As a result, the incoming mid-set update looks to change the meta by removing or replacing several champions, items, and traits.
