The series creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender have left the currently in-progress live action retelling of the series. Citing creative differences, original show creator Michael DiMartino decided to depart the production in June along with co-creator Bryan Konietzko. The two had initially been brought on to the remake as showrunners and executive producers. The adaptation, revealed two years ago, has been assumed to be under steady production since then, with little news escaping the project beyond a few rumors....

A flashback sequence is so energetic and the use of color so deft that it feels like it could have come from the animated series. Thanks to the Lucasfilm panel at Star Wars Celebration, we now know that “Grammar Rodeo” is in fact a Disney+ series entitled Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Even better, we know that it will star Jude Law, who had long been rumored to be involved in a Star Wars project. Watts explained during the panel that Skeleton Crew will be set during the same period as The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, which take place five years after Return of the Jedi....
Surprise! Mortal Kombat’s first trailer was supposed to drop at noon, but it looks like the schedule was moved up a bit since you can now see all two minutes and 30 gruesome seconds on HBO Max’s YouTube channel. And as expected from previous interviews with the director, actors, and basically anyone even remotely related to the film, Mortal Kombat is definitely earning its R-rating.
