While it has been unofficially known to be receiving a release for quite some time, Electronic Arts has now publicly stepped forward to declare Star Wars Battlefront 2 as an actuality, with its official announcement trailer coming on April 15, 2017 at 2:30 PM / 11:30 AM ET.
