He’s nastier than I remembered. In fact, Peter Devereaux, who is Pierce Brosnan’s lead spy in the grisly B-actioner The November Man, is a downright scumbag. But this is by design in a film that’s clearly coasting off audiences’ familiarity with the actor as James Bond 007. And despite his penchant for a fashionable enough gray sport coat, Devereaux displays little elegance or wit while he’s on the job; he’s a bastard who’ll sneak into his former protege’s kitchen with a gun and then hold the young lad’s girlfriend hostage and at knifepoint....

E3 2017 is in full swing, starting on a high with Electronic Arts’ press conference. Among glimpses at a new IP and footage of a handful of sports and action games came the highly anticipated focus on Star Wars Battlefront 2. EA promised “30 minute of pure, unadulterated Star Wars” fun, and the publisher cranked the hype up to the nth degree when it rolled pre-recorded footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens star John Boyega confirming his character, Finn, would be a playable hero in Battlefront 2....

A report by Korean news site iNews24 claims that Blizzard’s classic real-time strategy game StarCraft is getting an HD remaster, with more details to come this year. Hot off the heels of Overwatch and its success, all eyes are on Blizzard to see what the company will do next. Well, if Korean news site iNews24 is to be believed, Blizzard’s next project will actually be a return to one of the company’s most celebrated titles, in the form of a StarCraft HD remaster....

Valve has launched a new tracker that shows how well it’s handling support requests that come into the company each day. It turns out Valve receives around 75,000 requests per day, most of which pertain to the company’s refund policy. The new support tracker was announced via a blog post on the Steam website. Along with the announcement, Valve describes the improvements made in its support efforts, along with its efforts to continue improving support going forward....

Dying Light 2 has been in development for some time now. The game was first announced back in 2018, and after being shown at E3 in 2019, has not been seen almost at all since then. While some might consider that concerning, Polish video game developer Techland has denied accusations that the game is in development hell. Techland has also had some internal turmoil during its development of Dying Light 2, including fights over creative control and sexual assault allegations, which led to the narrative director of the game being ousted from the company and the game being delayed, “indefinitely....

There are plenty of great superhero cartoons, but for kids growing up in the early to mid-2000s, Teen Titans was the best one around. Based on the early 1980s New Teen Titans comics by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, the show followed a group of teenage superheroes–Robin, Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven and Starfire–as they fought supervillains while getting into regular teenage shenanigans. Teen Titans differentiated itself from other superhero shows like Justice League and X-Men, which focused largely on adult superhero teams in action scenes and reenacting dramatic storylines from comics....

The eye of Cthulhu is one of the first bosses that a player will face in a new Terraria world. This monster is a massive floating eyeball, and it has two phases. In the first phase, it floats above the air and spawns smaller versions of itself to attack the player. In the second, the eye’s iris opens to reveal massive teeth, at which point the Eye of Cthulhu will charge the player and try to kill them....

There are so many things wrong with the new Netflix movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a dull, pointless, mean-spirited, and cynical cash-grab so unimaginative that the filmmakers couldn’t even be bothered to come up with at least a variation of the title. It’s been a week since the World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-patch arrived with massive changes ahead of the expansion launch. The Caligula Effect 2, the sequel to the turn-based combat RPG, will be released by NIS America for PS4 and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe this fall. The original game was developed by Aquria for the PlayStation Vita in Japan in June 2016, and published by Atlus USA in North America and Europe in May 2017. When playing a game like The Elder Scrolls, you have to make some pretty tough choices. This couldn’t be truer when you have to choose between the Stormcloaks and the Imperials in Skyrim. On one hand, the Imperials did nearly kill you, but on the other, they seem to really have it together and aren’t just a small band of rebels. Audiences may know him best for his work directing Fast & Furious films, but Justin Lin has worked on a lot of big name projects, including Star Trek Beyond, True Detective, and Community. Given that kind of track record, it may not come as a surprise that the Taiwanese-American director just landed a multi-year film and television deal with Universal Pictures and Universal Studio. The exact details of the deal have yet to be announced, but it is reportedly very lucrative, offering Lin and his Perfect Storm Entertainment banner a wide-ranging deal, beginning with F9, and following up with support for television projects through NBC and including their streaming service Peacock....
