While it’s pretty clear that the details of this reported arrangement are thin, there are a couple of talking points worth expanding on based on what we currently know. The first involves the timing of these negotiations....

The newest expansions for Stellaris: Console Edition has an official release date. Paradox has announced that both Humanoids and Apocalypse will come out on June 25 for Xbox and PS4. This is huge news for the game’s console players, as the Synthetic Dawn Story Pack launched for console last month. After the story pack, these two upcoming expansions will complete Expansion Pass Two for the Console Edition of Stellaris. Paradox calls Apocalypse one of its “biggest ever expansions” that will revolutionize in-game warfare with a planet-killing weapon, space pirates called Marauders, capital ships, and defensive orbital installations....

Good news for superfans of Studio Ghibli: the Ghibli Museum, dedicated to the famous animation studio and its work, is planning to open its doors once again after a temporary closure due to COVID-19. According to the museum’s website, general purchase of tickets will be allowed starting August 25, after a month or so of limiting tickets to residents of the local city only. Though the museum is planning to open its exhibits once again, it will still be maintaining caution, continuing its slow ramp up to normal operation....

Today’s announcement from Rocksteady Studios that a Suicide Squad game is currently in development took fans by storm, as players anticipate jumping into the successful comic series. Rocksteady’s version of Suicide Squad first leaked last year, but according to an industry insider, the actual game may take some time before it hits store shelves, although fans might get another look at it fairly soon. Taron Egerton is set to star in Tetris, a film about the legal battle over the rights to the popular video game, which was created by Russian software engineer Alexey Pajitnov in 1984. The Welsh actor, who won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for portraying singer-songwriter Elton John in Rocketman, will portray Dutch video game entrepreneur Henk Rogers. Rogers sued late media mogul Robert Maxwell and his son Kevin to secure the intellectual property rights to Tetris for himself and Pajitnov, who hadn’t made a dime on the game even though it had generated millions of dollars....
