Goyer. Indeed, Goyer’s vision of Batman will be the focus of a dramatic podcast for Spotify. Batman Unburied is the title for the scripted podcast series, as DC, Warner Bros....

At E3 2018, fans got a wealth of new details and information regarding Ubisoft’s upcoming sequel, The Division 2. Thanks to multiple new trailers and gameplay footage, The Division 2 looks to evolve the experience fans have come to know by moving from the urban jungle of New York and taking players to the more open spaces of Washington, DC. A new location isn’t the only change, however, as Ubisoft is also adding in a number of new gameplay elements including making the world feel more dynamic....

The latest patch for The Division 2 is live. Title Update 11.1 focuses on making big changes to The Summit game mode. The patch also incorporates some changes that have been highly requested by players, including changes to shotgun damage in PvP, and increasing the chance at receiving Targeted Loot drops. The Summit is a PvE game mode that was introduced to The Division 2 in Season 3. The Summit is a 100 floor Skyscraper located in Manhattan....

Ubisoft has been hard at work creating new content for The Division 2, much of which will come with Episode 1, the first of three upcoming major content updates. However, the team has also been working on balancing and changing systems that have existed in the game since launch, including skills, which will be getting a revamp and buff when Episode 1 releases to Year 1 Pass holders on Tuesday, July 23rd....

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a serious spectacle of scale. Although its world is immensely large, it teems with grandiose storytelling and smaller intrigue in near equivalence. This attaches a degree of immediacy to the area you are currently exploring without ever compromising the fact that you exist as part of a much larger world - it’s fantastic. That being said, this open-world structure is nothing new in contemporary RPG design. Although Valhalla’s world is both lived-in and alive, it doesn’t necessarily scream next-gen....

Sitting somewhere between film and TV, Netflix’s Fear Street trilogy, based on the books by R.L. Stine, tells one interconnected story over three different eras, each leaning into a different subgenre of horror. While the first two mostly work as standalones, the connective tissue is what makes these movies a bit more special and interesting and lends them to repeat viewings. In Fear Street Part 2: 1978, we learn more about the past – bits about the history of Sarah Fier and how she might have managed to curse Shadyside and similarly how she might be stopped – by reuniting her remains with her severed hand....

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was shown in depth by EA at its presentation in the lead-up to E3 2017, and on top of the major surface changes will be a change to how the game generates revenue after launch. EA is planning to drop the old system of large paid expansion packs and replace them with free expansions in favor of more microtransactions for players. Microtransactions are prevalent among free-to-play and e-sport video games as a way for the developer to offer something that’s not exactly essential to playing the game but might improve their experience....

EA’s Star Wars Battlefront is hosting a double XP weekend for its players as part of a promotion for today’s release of Episode VII: The Force Awakens. With today, the 18th of December, marking the release of the highly anticipated Star Wars Episode VII, Electronic Arts is offering players a chance to earn double experience points in Star Wars Battlefront. Playing matches on Star Wars Battlefront’s multiplayer mode will net players a score boost and, in turn, extra credits....

An X-Wing and a TIE Fighter are engaged in deadly combat. Pass after pass, they are widdling down each other’s defenses. The shield of the Republic ship has been depleted, but the TIE Fighter is down to half its hull strength. They pass by an additional time, firing lasers and torpedos at one another. Despite a combination of evasive flying and countermeasures, they are each down to about 50 hull strength....

Although they might not be as well known as their more famous counterparts, the Injustice League, and definitely aren’t as criminally insane as their predecessors, Shazam villains the Monster Society of Evil, the members of the Injustice Society have made their stamp on comics history. They’re also about to be discovered by a much wider audience as they’ve been revealed as the dangerous rogues in the new Stargirl TV series, which is airing on both DC Universe and The CW....

If you’re into game developing (or would like to try your hand at it), and you’re bored at home during the quarantine, Stay Safe! Jam is an online-only game jam running this weekend, March 27th to 29th. Developer Nukklear Digital Minds, the team behind the idea, has partnered up with publisher Assemble Entertainment, as well as Ubisoft and Bethesda, among others, to promote the event. Game jams usually consist of game devs teaming up to design and develop a video game in 48 hours, but they tend to be in the same physical location - which is impossible (and inadvisable) during the current situation....
