Telling Lies, which is the follow-up to the 2015 hit indie game Her Story, was initially launched for the PC and mobile devices in August 2019. The game focuses on an immersive narrative that revolves around four characters engaged in a mystery. Now, publisher Annapurna Interactive has just announced the release date of Telling Lies for the PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, which falls on April 28, 2020. Telling Lies revolves around solving a mystery via piecing together four interviews that are delivered through full-motion video (FMV)....

Tencent – the massive tech company that has its hand in all your favorite games – recently obtained a design patent for a new controller. There’s no word on how the company plans to use the patent, although it’s shown an interest in moving deeper into the console and PC marketplace. The news comes from Daniel Ahmad – senior analyst at Niko Partners – who mentioned the patent was first submitted on November 17, 2020....

Ubisoft releases a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division that shows off the game’s gorgeous 60 frames per second visuals when running on a powerful PC. Although there games are by no means visually disappointing, Ubisoft does have a reputation of releasing games that look significantly less impressive than they did in their initial trailers. It’s a fairly common occurrence in the industry and by no means unique to Ubisoft, but even so, the practice often leaves many fans disappointed....

In a recent episode of his podcast, industry reporter Jeff Grubb suggested that the previously rumored Last of Us Part 2 multiplayer project (commonly known as “Factions”) will likely not be released in its originally intended form. However, that’s only because the mode has reportedly grown significantly larger over the course of development. “I think that no game called ‘Factions’ will ever come out, but not in a bad way,” Grubb says “[Naughty Dog] probably just decided they could do more....

With so many series canceled and erased from HBO Max last year, it was hard not to be nervous about how HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us would fare on the streamer. Star Citizen is currently in a playable alpha after being in development for 9 years. Despite being nowhere near finished, Cloud Imperium Games has been able to raise well over $300 million in funding from selling ships and packages for a game that will likely measure its development process in decades rather than mere years.
