It’s hard not to like Team Meat. The developer - a two-man team made up of Tommy Refenes and Edmund McMillen - created one of the most iconic indie hits in recent years with 2010’s Super Meat Boy. The duo’s determined work ethic was also shown to the world via the 2012 documentary Indie Game: The Movie, which showcased Super Meat Boy’s critical and commercial triumph. However, fans would have to wait a long time for a follow-up from the developer....

It’s that time of year again and soon the rumors will either be confirmed or denied as E3, the massive video game convention, is finally here. The Elder Scrolls Online continues to be a major pillar for Bethesda Softworks and developer ZeniMax Online Studios and in an interview, Creative Director Rich Lambert discussed future plans for the game, but it’s not all good news. 2018’s God of War is getting a sequel, which will come as no surprise to fans who reached the end of the last game. The soft reboot of the franchise ended with the reveal that Kratos’ son, Atreus, was given another name by his late mother which hints at his role in Ragnarok: Loki. The God of War Ragnarok sequel should have a lot of fun with Atreus’ new-found identity. If the game keeps Atreus and Kratos together like they were for the majority of the last installment, seeing Atreus become the mischievous god he was born to be could be very interesting....

Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II is a massive story with a lot going on. Most of the plot revolves around Ellie’s downward spiral into darkness as she seeks vengeance against the group who killed Joel for his vicious act in Salt Lake City at the end of the original game. Of course, the journey Ellie takes is not a righteous quest for justice, but a somber tale about empathy and the lengths one will go to for people they love....

Players in the Middle East looking to pick up The Last of Us 2, the sequel to Naughty Dog’s zombie action-adventure game inspired by a terrifying real-life fungal parasite, may have some difficulties acquiring it. Various details suggest that the game won’t be getting an official release in certain Middle Eastern countries due to some of the game’s themes. The first bits of news about this possible ban came from a Reddit user known as ‘ghostechful’, who asked PlayStation Support why they weren’t able to pre-order The Last of Us 2 through the PlayStation Store in the United Arab Emirates....

The Last of Us 2 is quite easily one of the most brutal and graphic video games ever made, with realistic visuals lending extra weight to the terrible violence that’s depicted in the game consistently from start to finish. The Last of Us 2 takes its violence a step further than most games, having enemies scream out in pain, call each other’s names, and more. However, The Last of Us 2’s extreme level of violence isn’t the reason why the Japanese version of the game is censored....

Recently, HBO announced that two Game of Thrones actors would be reuniting in the upcoming The Last of Us television series as the starring roles, and The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann looks to be supportive of the casting decision. Last night, HBO first announced that Bella Ramsey would be portraying the role of Ellie in its upcoming Last of Us television adaptation to fan surprise. She may not have been the actor players were expecting to see fill the award-winning character, first portrayed by Ashley Johnson, but many seem to be intrigued by the unexpected decision....

Square Enix’s E3 conference was filled with tons of JRPG announcements. With major franchises such as Final Fantasy taking up most of those reveals, the announcement of The Last Remnant for Nintendo Switch came as a surprise to many. What was even more surprising about the reveal is the game is available right now to download on the Nintendo eShop. The Last Remnant first released on Xbox 360 back in 2008....
