Fans of George Lucas’ famous sci-fi films - Star Wars - have long argued over which characters would win in theoretical battles against other Jedi, Sith, and everyone in between. Conversation of this sort was particularly prevalent in the years leading up to the prequel trilogy, as the first three films alluded to tons of epic battles and moments which we, at that time, had yet to see. It was known that Obi-Wan Kenobi had bested Darth Vader in some forgotten fight decades ago, but it wouldn’t be until 2004 that audience would actually get to see it....

The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, gave audiences a new set of heroes to fall in love with, while also showing audiences that our original Death Star destroyers and rebel fighters were still kicking, and STILL trying to save the universe. After the Battle of Endor, the adventures were not over for Leia, Han, and Luke. In fact, they were only just beginning. Between the birth of Ben Solo, to the discovery of the First Order, the galaxy went through immense changes in the thirty years in between the two films....

Not only did this year’s Star Wars Celebration give fans their first look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but it also revealed details on the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2. Star Wars Battlefront 2 sounds like a step up from 2015’s entry in every single way, adding many fan-requested features, including split-screen co-op, which will be available at launch this time around. Not much is known about Star Wars Battlefront 2’s split-screen co-op at this time, but it’s likely that it will have some story implications....

In the galaxy far, far away that is Anaheim California, Downtown Disney is about to unveil yet another reason crack open piggy banks all over the country. The Disneyland resort will very soon be opening up a brand new attraction: the Star Wars Trading Post, featuring all sorts of knick-knacks fit for a Jedi. For quite some time now Disney parks and resorts have been suffering the heavy toll brought about by the pandemic, which has left them struggling with the question of how to draw in new customers and reconsider their current offerings....

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town returns to its roots in more ways than one. While the game follows the regular path of inheriting a farm from an old relative, Pioneers of Olive Town is about rebuilding a farm from the ground up, discovering the wilderness and the creatures that inhabit it, which translates to more building and crafting than seen in past installments. But rather than try something innovative or bold, the newest Story of Seasons title also brings back the regular old farming simulator formula: tending to a farm’s crops and animals, getting to know the villagers and possibly even marrying one, and assisting with Olive Town’s objectives....

Dungeons & Dragons now lets multiple classes pick the same subclass, thanks to a new Unearthed Arcana based in Strixhaven. Wizards of the Coast is putting on a bit of a magic show, with a whole week full of D&D announcements. Yesterday saw the reveal of The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, a Feywild adventure hardcover. Today’s is a book based on Strixhaven, the magic college where competing schools of sorcery show their stuff....

The popularity of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has helped it become the best-selling fighting game of all time, which is also reflected in its popularity at Evo 2019, as it’s currently the most registered game for the tournament so far. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was released in December 2018, which means the game will be seeing its first tournament appearances in 2019. The release of a new Super Smash Bros. game is always a major event for the competitive gaming scene and that was especially true for Super Smash Bros....

In 2017, Netflix gave a two-season straight-to-series order to executive producer Ryan Murphy’s Ratched, a series starring Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress Sarah Paulson as a young version of the infamous nurse from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Now, the streaming service has released a video in which Paulson quizzes co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Sharon Stone, and Judy Davis to see if they picked up any pieces of knowledge from their roles....

After much anticipation, Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything has hit the Dungeons & Dragons fandom. Players were looking forward to a wealth of new options that let them customize their character in greater detail - not unlike what Pathfinder has been doing for some time. Tasha’s has over 20 subclasses, feats that allow players to dip their toes into multiclassing without much drawback, and the all-important modifications to the dated concept of race....

Team Ninja, the studio renowned for giving us one of the best re-imaginings of Ryu Hayabusa and those ridiculous, and ridiculously fun, Dead or Alive games has announced that they will be unveiling a new game during Tokyo Game Show 2011. What will it be? That remains the big mystery… or it might not, depending on how you feel about the studio. A majority of the developer’s resume has to do with either Ninja Gaiden or Dead or Alive....

The Tfue/Ninja feud escalated on Twitter yesterday after Turner “Tfue” Tenney inadvertently leaked Mr. Beast’s phone number during the rock paper scissors charity tournament. Mr. Beast hosted the event, which was meant to be streamed exclusively on YouTube and featured influencers competing for a chance to donate $250,000 to the charity of their choice. Even more money was made from donations, nearly $4 million were contributed to coronavirus relief funds throughout the day....

While the franchise spent a good decade out of the limelight in the West, Dragon Quest has been THE RPG franchise in Japan since its inception. Formerly published by Enix and now under Square Enix’s management, Dragon Quest has produced some of the most timeless turn-based JRPGs in gaming, and the eleventh entry in the main series proved to be a huge worldwide success. A franchise as successful as Dragon Quest has, naturally, spawned its fair share of spinoffs....

Some of the types in Pokémon have cute creatures in greater abundance than others. The Electric-type is one of these. For whatever reason, Electric has a ton of cuties in it, many of which are fan-favorites. Perhaps it’s the cuddly nature of their static electricity-based designs, or maybe it’s the fact that many of them are electrified versions of already-cute animals. Whatever the reason, Electric-types are typically very well-designed. Even the series’ mascot, Pikachu, is a cute Electric-type....

Generation V of Pokémon introduced more new ‘mons than any other generation, with 156 new faces to see and discover. As a result, there is a ton of great shinies, but also a ton of terrible ones. This is one of the last times that shinies were not done manually, meaning that there are some true duds. On the flip side, there are a ton of really great shinies that stand apart from the rest of the generation....

Several days ahead of its theatrical release, Ubisoft’s forthcoming Assasin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender receives bad reviews from numerous critics. With the Assassin’s Creed movie’s release date being just a couple of days from now, there are surely plenty of fans of the action-adventure video game franchise wondering whether or not it would be worth the money to purchase a ticket for the theatrical experience. If the reviews are to be believed, though, it seems as if the film doesn’t show much promise in the realm of being a solid piece of entertainment, as Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed movie has been generally panned so far by lots of critics....

Viki has been around since 2007, when it was launched as a streaming platform for international TV.
