Thus far gamers have seen the release of two spectacular Walking Dead episodes, A New Day and Starved for Help, with a third one titled Long Road Ahead slated for release some time in August. Beyond just being pitch perfect examples of the types of gameplay experiences Telltale does best, The Walking Dead episodes released thus far have been of a quality that any fan of the series would be proud of....

At the Xbox Games Showcase livestream event last July, Microsoft announced that players in the Xbox will finally be able to play Tetris Effect soon. More than that, Xbox players will receive the updated version of the game called Tetris Effect: Connected, which is set to feature upgraded visuals and a multiplayer mode. As one of Bloober Team’s biggest and most ambitious projects yet, The Medium will be arriving through Xbox Game Pass for next-gen consoles and PC on January 28. The Medium’s producer Jacek Zieba gave an interview for VG247 discussing the game’s upcoming release, and said he was incredibly impressed with the way the Xbox Series S was able to run the game. This is good news for Xbox Series S owners, as even though it is the less powerful of the consoles, it will apparently run the game in high quality....

Netflix’s new original Marilyn Monroe movie, Blonde, marks the streaming service’s first NC-17 rated movie, due to its graphic depiction of sexual assault (as well as a point-of-view shot of a fetus in the womb). The Motion Picture Association’s most severe rating has long been known as a both a box office killer and a publicity gift, but this movie from director Andrew Dominik (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Killing Them Softly) doesn’t have to worry about theater tickets....

Both Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the next Need for Speed game will be playable at E3 2017, publisher Electronic Arts confirms. EA promises that the company’s annual EA Play event, which takes place alongside the main E3 festivities, will be a “great event for everyone.” EA Play will take place between June 10 - 12, confirms the publisher, with Star Wars Battlefront 2 and the new Need for Speed game being just two of the games available for hands-on time at the event....

Last week, Star Wars Battlefront 2’s beta period officially went live, giving fans of the forthcoming science fiction shooter sequel a chance to experience the title’s content and learn more about what the game will be like at launch. Now, the developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have officially announced the decision to give additional time to those wanting to try the game out before launch by extending the beta period for two additional days....

There is evidence to suggest that 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may be set to re-release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the near future. Though nothing is yet confirmed, it makes sense that EA might want to give the game another chance to shine before a sequel is announced. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was developed by Respawn and published by EA, and released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One....

Although the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is generating generally positive buzz from fans after the EA Play gameplay presentation, one detail stuck out that has been met with some derision. In an instance of what seems to be poor visual rendering, two Wookiees shown in the trailer have been criticized for their comparatively low-quality graphical design. In the gameplay footage for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, protagonist Cal is tasked with rescuing some Wookiees imprisoned by the Empire....

Humanity has an interesting relationship with the concept of luck. Those who believe in it deem unfortunate circumstances as “bad luck” and positive ones as “good luck,” as if the universe is not within our own control. Many video games have incorporated the idea of luck into their programming and structure, controlling everything from random encounters to item drops to rare events and cutscenes. Stardew Valley is no exception, having its own Luck stat that changes every day and can be influenced by eating certain foods, drinking certain beverages, and even having certain items on you such as the Lucky Ring....

Not every movie has to be a feature-length production, and oftentimes, the most important ones last only a few minutes. Case in point, the award-winning sci-fi thriller, Tunnelen, available via online film curation site Short of The Week. A short film in a dystopic future, Tunnelen is an almost unbearably tense situation placed in the most mundane of locations: a traffic jam.
