Stardew Valley is a spiraling game that recently received the version 1.5 update. The update brought with it a huge amount of new content, including a new Volcano Dungeon. The Volcano Dungeon is filled with new monsters for players to take on that drop some valuable loot. While some of the new enemies like the Tiger Slime will be familiar to veteran players, other enemies are a whole new challenge altogether....
Steam has made an under-the-radar change to its beta functions, adding a playtest button for players to use. It’s unclear exactly what this new button does at this point, but it seems to exist for the purpose of streamlining the process for players to gain access to closed betas. At the moment, users have only found the button on one game, that being Total War: Elysium’s Steam page. The closed beta for that game started in May, but players can now request access with this new button....
Super Animal Royale, a battle royale game involving deadly little animals, is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. The game feels like Fortnite mixed with Animal Crossing, which sounds amazing. Released for Early Access in 2018, this cute battle royale game will soon be available for consoles as part of the official launch. Battle royale games can be chaotic and hard. If you don’t know what you are doing, you will probably die pretty quickly....

Temtem, the monster catching MMO that’s eerily similar to Pokemon, will be landing on PS5 later this year. It’ll enter Early Access on December 8, with a full release on both PS5 and Xbox Series X planned for 2021. Already available on PC, Temtem will feature crossplay between the two platforms – making it easy to join your friends on Steam when you decide to make the next-gen jump. While in Early Access, Temtem will give you four of the six planned islands and over 30 hours of content....
There are a lot of video games that feature a protagonist wearing a sweet battlesuit. These battlesuits give the player characters enhanced abilities, typically act as armor, and almost always look extremely cool. Tom Clancy’s The Division’s Conflicts update (set to release later this month) introduces the game’s second Incursion, which is called Broken Circle. A couple months removed from its release, and it appears as though enthusiasm for Tom Clancy’s The Division is beginning to wane. The game has had a problem with hackers, exploits, and other issues, but Massive Entertainment is determined to keep dedicated players engaged with The Division nevertheless. The studio’s attempt to keep The Division community active will continue when the second Incursion for the game drops later this month, as part of May’s “Conflicts” update....
There is a lot to like about the 1995 Mortal Kombat movie. Christopher Lambert is charmingly impish as Raiden, God of Thunder, Cairy-Hirokyuki Tagawa is menacing as Shang Tsung, and the theme music is very memorable. The main cast of heroes is great too. They all have entertaining arcs that develop them as people while tying into the main story. All of them, that is, except for Sonya Blade. Sonya’s character arc starts off as strongly as Liu Kang’s or Johnny Cage’s....
Rocket League developer Psyonix officially announces that the game’s next major update will be revealed during The Game Awards 2016’s pre-show livestream. The Game Awards 2016 production team is firing on all cylinders in preparation for the December 1 event. Each day sees the announcement of yet another premiere that will debut during the awards show, with more to come including yet more surprises planned for the show itself. Buffet Time’s Half-Life: Alyx speedrun at SGDQ 2020 is being praised as one of the all-time great speedruns in Games Done Quick history, as well it should be. Buffet Time put on two shows at once, absolutely decimating the game engine and physics on the game screen, and hilariously running and crawling around his room to pull off these crazy tricks on the runner cam. VR speedruns are a thing of absolute beauty....
