The wait is almost over. On July 16, Switch owners can experience a semi-new Zelda game with the launch of Skyward Sword HD. This past week news broke that a game at Blizzard had been canceled after two years of development. The game was left unnamed at the time, but new reports claim the game was a first-person shooter set in the StarCraft universe. Codenamed Ares, the project was described as Battlefield-meets-StarCraft in which the player took on the role of a Terran Marine. Playing as a Zerg was also being considered. According to Kotaku, three anonymous sources familiar with the project confirmed that the StarCraft FPS was officially canceled to put more resources into other Blizzard projects tied to the Diablo and Overwatch franchises....

Thor: Love and Thunder, the hotly anticipated sequel to director Taika Waititi’s first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Thor: Ragnarok - has wrapped filming and gone into post-production. As a result, cast and crew members have been sharing some of the merchandise they got their hands on. Among them is a T-shirt that shows Jane Foster as Thor - she’s even wielding Mjolnir. Video game developer QuadCom Interactive and publisher GDT recently announced their tactical turn-based online multiplayer game RAM Pressure has picked up development Steam and entered into its Early Access phase. The game is free-to-play, with Early Access expected to last from three to six months. Just after the launch to Early Access, RAM Pressure devs also locked and loaded in a Day One Patch that reportedly solved a bunch of user-reported critical issues at launch....

It’s been a bit of an up-and-down year for Team Bondi, to say the least. First, the developer delivers L.A. Noire, a tale of greed and corruption in 1940s Los Angeles, to tremendous critical and gamer fanfare. Following the divisiveness expressed by Star Wars fans over The Last Jedi, Solo: A Star Wars Story was a chance for Disney and Lucasfilm to redeem themselves.
