Fortunately, it’s not going to be about a post-apocalyptic galaxy-spanning conflict where aliens can only be defeated with the power of perfectly aligned blocks and friendship. Or perhaps the correct term is “unfortunately.” No, this film will star Egerton as Henk Rogers, the real-life entrepreneur who bought the distribution rights for Tetris, ensuring that history’s most popular puzzle video game would achieve its widespread potential on home consoles....

The husband and wife team described as “legends of the fighting game community”, Thao Nguyen and Reynalda Lynn Nguyen, have passed away after suffering injuries in an accidental house fire. Yet another of the leftover 20th Century Fox productions that were developed before Disney absorbed the company is getting moved again from its release date. The King’s Man, the prequel to 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service and 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, has been removed from its fast-approaching September 18, 2020 arrival and repurposed to February 26, 2021. No huge surprise there, as marketing for the movie had been largely non-existent up until now....

In both the HBO series and the video games it’s based on, Ellie is the only person we know of who doesn’t become infected after being bitten or exposed to the Cordyceps in other ways. In the final level of The Last of Us Part 1, we learn that Ellie still has the Cordyceps fungus within her brain, it’s just a further mutated version that is essentially benign in that it doesn’t cause her to mutate....

There is a scene in Avengers: Endgame where all of the MCU female characters that fans have come to know and love team up on the battlefield to fight Thanos together, in a moment that the directors and writers probably thought was a great show of “girl power.” Unfortunately, this show of “feminism” falls a little flat in a franchise that has historically pushed its female characters to the side and took 10 years to even give one of those female heroes her own solo movie....

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order released on November 15, 2019, making it just 1-year-old. Many hailed it as a good direction for future Star Wars games at launch, but it seems safe to say that perhaps that direction ended too soon. While the game does feature a few free content updates like New Journey+, the Inquisitor Cal costume, and more, there’s no story-based DLC for the game. The ending to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is left open-ended, and this seems intentional....

After a fine run lasting nearly two-and-a-half years, Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s topsy-turvy adventure has come to an end. EA announced at the end of April that support for the game would be ending, with the team intervening only to sort out any minor issues like bugs and things that hamper the player’s experience of playing the game. Many, though, feel the title should have been given more maps and characters before the plug was pulled....

The highly anticipated Stardew Valley multiplayer has officially launched for players who play the game on Steam. In addition to the multiplayer beta, there have been some additional upgrades to the single player aspect of the game as well. The Stardew Valley teased in a blog earlier this month that multiplayer would be ready soon, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the release since then. In a blog post on April 30th, the beta for the multiplayer was officially announced, and it sent fans of the game to their Steam accounts to opt into the beta....
