Hackers have been in the news a lot this year. Following high profile attacks on Sony and Lulzsec’s hack of Nintendo, the latest developer to fall victim is none other than Valve. It has been reported that the Steam forums have been hacked into by a group known as “FknOwned” (clever, guys), who promise to fulfill requests of any internet debauchery forum goers want to participate in. The hacker group is said to have inserted an ad for it’s own site into the Steam forums, which promises “general discussion sections, hacking tutorials and tools, porn, free giveaways and much more....

While gamers are still mulling over whether to pick up the PS4 or Xbox One has their last-gen successor, very soon a new contender will enter the fray. Well, a new contender was supposed to enter the fray very soon, but, unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Vicarious Visions, the team responsible for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, has left the Activision umbrella of studios and has now merged with the Blizzard side. The 200-person studio will reportedly focus on Blizzard games following the dissolution of Blizzard Team 1, starting with the Diablo 2 remake. A week ago, it sounded like Blizzard execs would still be at the reigns of this new rodeo, but a recent LinkedIn post from new Blizzard executive vice president Jennifer Oneal reveals that it might be the other way around....

Developer Valve kicked off its annual summer extravaganza at 1 p.m. EST today.
