The High Republic is a brand new setting in the Star Wars universe, currently in development to help launch an upcoming series of books and comics. The new setting will take fans of the famous franchise to a time when the Jedi were spread out far across the galaxy, and the Galactic Republic was at its peak. Many fans will be hoping that the High Republic will also bring with it some new Star Wars video games....
Valve has announced that the Steam Game Festival will return next week with 500 playable demos, developer live streams, and more. The company’s fifth game festival will begin at 1PM EST on Wednesday, February 3, and run until 1PM EST on Tuesday, February 6. The event will feature 500 playable demos, many of which are expected to be available after the festival ends. The titles that have been confirmed include Hazel Sky, Fling to the Finish, Black Book, Almighty: Kill Your Gods, Shady Knight, Genesis Noir, The Riftbreaker, Bloodroots, Aerial: Knights Never Yield, Siege Survival: Gloria Victis, Blunt Force, Children of Silentown, and Narita Boy....

The newest Story of Seasons installment Pioneers of Olive Town will take players to the forest, focusing on reclaiming the wild more than restoring an old farm. This will allow players more customization and layout options for the farm, such as the placement of buildings and possibly even landscaping....
Stranger Thing 4 took the world by storm when it finally hit Netflix on May 27, almost three years after the release of season 3. The game has nine levels to choose from, including the hub world Delfino Plaza, which are all loaded with tons of shine sprites to discover. Nightdive Studios has unveiled the first look of its version of cyberspace in the upcoming System Shock Remake. The preview showcases a POV action shot of the player flying through a tiled space fending off virus-like enemies as they traverse deeper into the ever-changing and colorful world. It leaves fans questioning the end goal of this sequence and starving for more System Shock. Anticipation for Nightdive’s System Shock Remake is at an all-time high, given the game’s release is slated for 2020 and only three months remain until the end of the year....
A few days after the VALORANT Ignition Series’ initial announcement, Riot Games has revealed the circuit’s first North American tournament. Korean organization T1 Entertainment & Sports has linked up with North American esports network Nerd Street Gamers to host the $50,000 event. The T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown is set to begin on June 26th, 2020. Earlier this week, VALORANT developer Riot Games announced the VALORANT Ignition Series, a global tournament circuit meant to kickstart the game’s competitive scene....
After developing both Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games is on top of the industry. While GTA 5 in particular has insane sales figures, fans are still eagerly awaiting the developer’s next project. And according to new information from parent company Take-Two Interactive, one of Rockstar’s old projects is still in production. In 2016, Rockstar and Take-Two filed trademarks for a project titled Judas. Many fans thought that Judas would be Rockstar’s first project after Grand Theft Auto 5 but no new information about the project surfaced after the initial leak....

While gamers can theoretically ignore much of The Evil Within 2’s game world, those that take the time to explore the twisted city of Union will be rewarded for their efforts. Not only will they be rewarded with powerful new weapons they would have otherwise missed out on, but players will also come across some neat easter eggs, like the eight mysterious objects that reference other Bethesda games. Collecting all the mysterious objects in The Evil Within 2 is worth it for more than just having them appear in Sebastian’s office....
The Expanse is one of the most successful sci-fi adaptations on television in that it somehow has been able to tweak the story that it adapted from the James S. A. Corey series to fit the small screen while still faithfully honoring the overall narrative, which will conclude with a ninth novel in 2021.
