Very little has been revealed about BioShock 4, but previous iterations might have some clues as to where the next entry could lead. 2013’s BioShock Infinite took players to the flying city of Columbia, leaving behind the underwater city of Rapture seen in BioShock 1 and 2. However, a major confrontation at the end of Infinite ends with a brief trip to Rapture, revealing that every BioShock game so far takes place in parallel universes....

When Street Fighter V hit the scene, it got a lot of flack for being incredibly incomplete. Not for the 16 starter characters, but because the internet stuff was busted, there was no arcade mode, and the “story mode” was a bunch of lengthy and uninteresting cutscenes occasionally broken up by 1-3 matches that were frustratingly simple with no option to change the difficulty. Over time, Capcom finally released a cinematic story mode called “A Shadow Falls” and even later upgraded the game into Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition....

Super Mario Maker was an immediate commercial and critical hit in 2015 when it launched on the Wii U, and the same applies to Super Mario Maker 2, which landed on the Switch in 2019. The latter expanded on the former in so many ways and recently received an important update allowing players to create entire worlds in the classic Mario format. But, what about the 3D landscapes so praised in the 3D Mario titles....

For a while now, fans of System Shock have been looking forward to the release of remasters of the game and System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition. Developer Nightdive Studios announced the System Shock 2 remaster in 2019, and said there would be plans for the game to receive a VR mode. Now, Nightdive has revealed that the remastered System Shock sequel is receiving a playable VR mode for the game’s release....

Temtem released for Steam in January of 2020 and was very well-received by that community. It currently holds a very positive score and developer Crema continues to update; just last month Temtem added another large location in-game, Kisiwa Island, complete with more tems to catch. Despite all this hard work from the dev team, the game hasn’t captured the lasting attention everyone was hoping (and expecting) a Pokemon-styled MMO would receive....

However, here we are looking at games that have celebrities’ names right in the title. From long-standing franchises to one-off titles, the range of available celebrity endorsed games is huge. Recent trends for mobile gaming have vastly increased the number of celebrity name-bearing freemium titles available on app stores but we are looking at games from a wider range of platforms....

The photo, taken from a rather risque angle, reveals a gold-plated statue of a superhero. At first glance, the statue appears to be modeled after Homelander (Anthony Starr), a sociopathic and terrifying dark mirror to DC comics’ Superman, and the leader of the corporate-funded superhero team The Seven. However, upon closer inspection, this golden statue may actually be based on the character known as Soldier Boy, a new addition to the series played by Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles....

The Evil Within served as a fitting entry into the survival horror genre, featuring the various oddities fans would expect from a veteran like Shinji Mikami who created one of the most iconic survival horror franchises of all time, Resident Evil. That being said, The Evil Within was far from a perfect game, with various annoyances pulling this game back from cementing itself as a truly brilliant title. It’s a testament to Shinji Mikami and his team that they genuinely took all the feedback into account when it came to The Evil Within and decided to work upon these problems for its sequel The Evil Within 2....

Grand Theft Auto V was announced yesterday and a trailer for the game will be up next week, but in the meantime players have already begun to speculate as to what the game could offer. Much of the initial speculation has focused on where the game would take place, what will it look like and the use of the Roman numeral ‘V’ instead of the number ‘5’ in the game’s logo....

Naughty Dog’s follow up to its 2013 critical and commercial smash hit, aptly titled The Last of Us 2, was another blockbuster entry in its already impressive repertoire of interactive entertainment. Assuming Naughty Dog chooses to release a threequel some day, there are a few directions The Last of Us 3 could take the post apocalyptic series next. Potentially, there may be a clue hiding in plain sight in the final chunk of the game when Ellie encounters the sadistic gang of human slavers called “The Rattlers....

There are now more places than ever to consume anime, whether it’s on broadcast television or any of the available streaming services, some of which are devoted entirely to anime content. It’s truly exciting to see the medium’s continued success, but part of the reason that it’s found such universal acclaim is because often anime is just as concerned about representation as it is with entertainment....

Unsurprisingly, a third season of The Mandalorian is on the way. After wrapping up the tantalizing new spin-off The Book of Boba Fett, Favreau and co. will shift their focus to the continuing adventures of Din Djarin. In order to cement its longevity following the jaw-dropping events of “Chapter 16: The Rescue,” The Mandalorian season 3 might have to morph into a different show. The first two seasons of The Mandalorian were defined by Mando’s father-son dynamic with Grogu....

Fortnite is still in the midst of its Christmas festivities and will be until January 5, but that’s not to say that the devs over at Epic Games aren’t celebrating New Year’s Eve this year either. The event kickstarting 2021 has leaked from IntheShade and it’s pretty much last year’s celebration repeated with a rift and some fireworks. Given that New Year’s Eve is right around the corner, with only a couple of days to go, it’s unlikely that much will change from now until then, but perhaps some cosmetics will drop to boot....

This Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi review contains spoilers. Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 6 Obi-Wan Kenobi is perhaps a dish best served in small portions. After five episodes full of cutting confrontations, episode six feels repetitive and contrived. Characters clash because they need to, when they need to. Glimmers of chemistry, and Star Wars tropes that come off as endearing rather than weak links, crop up here and there. But overall, the final adventure for Leia and Obi-Wan fails to tie the series together because it’s too busy trying to tie all of the franchise together....

The overall response to Obi-Wan Kenobi may have been positive, but there is one complaint that many fans seem to share: they want to see more. For some, that desire comes from a love of the characters, especially after showrunner Deborah Chow crafted a suitable bridge between the Star Wars prequels and the original trilogy, forcing Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan to face for the first time his former apprentice Anakin Skywalker in the form of Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen....
