Microsoft’s Summer Game Fest Demo Event, which runs from July 21 to 27, features more than 70 demos of unreleased Xbox One games that fans can play. The full list, which includes Destroy All Humans!, a remake of the 2005 alien invasion game, and SkateBird, where players grind, kickflip and carve lines as a skateboarding bird, is available in the Game Demos section of the Microsoft Store. Other great demos available to play are 9 Monkeys of Shaolin, a side-scrolling action game that revisits the Kung Fu movies of the 1970s; Alchemist Adventure, an action-adventure game that takes place in Isur, the former home of brilliant and yet dangerous alchemists; and Book of Adventum, an old school FPS adventure that throws players into the middle of a conflict on a remote island....

Super Mario 3D World How To Unlock Everything

Along with being one of the best Super Mario platformers ever made, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is an expertly crafted Nintendo adventure filled with surprises and unlockables. While all currently available evidence suggests that Daisy is not one of those unlockable surprises (sorry fans), earning everything in Super Mario 3D World and Bowser’s Fury will take quite a bit of time. In some cases, it also requires you to look beyond the boundaries of the title and take on unique challenges....

Supergirl Deux Lex Machina Showcases Kara And Lena

The latest episode of Supergirl will mark the directorial debut of series star Melissa Benoist, but that’s not the only reasons fans are going to be excited about “Deus Lex Machina.” Ever since Lena Luthor learned that her best friend Kara Danvers was secretly Supergirl, the relationship between the two women has been, well, fraught. They’ve argued, fought one another and even grudgingly worked together at various points during the course of this season....

Survival Horror Game Outlast Coming To Steam In September

There’s a reason that mental institutions are such a go-to location for horror stories: crazy people frighten us, and our own madness frightens us, so what better place to combine the two than in a institution where insanity lives? To exemplify this trend, there are three upcoming indie survival horror titles that are all set in psychiatric hospitals: Senscape Interactive’s Asylum, Psychoz Interactive’s Forgotten Memories for the Wii U, and Red Barrels Games’ Outlast....

Swimsanity Developers Plan Future Upgrades And Dlc That Won T Leave Online Community Behind Paywalls

Swimsanity! has arrived with a splash this week, and many gamers are relieved to hear that current DLC and upgrade plans will not leave the online community behind paywalls. Given other recent games such as Battlefield V, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Rocket Arena received harsh criticism for charging for the game, and then charging for additional content, this feels like a wave of good news. While good news, this doesn’t exactly mean that all DLC and upgrades will be free, but, there is a chance....

Tennis World Tour 2 Preview

Originally released in 2018, Tennis World Tour - from developer Breakpoint - didn’t quite hit the mark with critics or players, but did provide a decent foundation as one of the more realistic tennis titles available at that time. Fast-forward two years, and the game, along with publisher Nacon and devloper Big Ant Studios, is back with Tennis World Tour 2, which will be releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in September 2020, while a Nintendo Switch version will launch in October....

The 100 Season 5 Episode 3 Review Sleeping Giants

This The 100 review contains spoilers. The 100 Season 5 Episode 3 Sleeping Giants is a good ol’ fashioned episode of The 100, complete with all the ingredients that make it great. There’s some space stuff, great fights, and serious moral quandaries balanced out by humor, and it all hinges on the rich relationships that make up the fabric of the show. Clarke is not messing around. She took a page out of the Grounders’ book from way back in season 1 when they used Jasper as bait, this time tying up one of the prisoners from the transport ship....

The Boys Homelander S Most Outrageous Moments Ranked

Warning: Contains spoilers for The Boys season 3 finale & NSFW content. The Boys is notorious for its increasingly outrageous and darkly comic moments, starting with the gruesome death of Hughie’s girlfriend Robin in the first episode, and just getting more extreme from there. Season 3 was no exception, giving us A-Train’s horribly tone-deaf attempts to cash in on his ethnicity, The Deep’s burgeoning new relationship with an octopus, and superhero-themed dildos....

The Expanse Season 6 Episode 6 Review Babylon S Ashes

This review of The Expanse contains spoilers. The Expanse Season 6 Episode 6 Is it really over? Watching the series finale of The Expanse was an exercise in denial with longtime fans trying to soak in every last moment, pretending the show would continue the way much of the narrative seemed to imply. Now, being able to see season 6 as a whole, it’s clear that the writers made the only choice they could by acknowledging that the protomolecule is still out there while involving the alien forces directly in the defeat of Marco Inaros....

The Flash Season 7 Episode 16 The War of the Godspeeds continues on The Flash, but Barry and friends get a boost from an old friend: David Ramsey’s John Diggle. And the arrival of the former Arrow star could not have come at a more opportune moment, as his preexisting friendship with Barry – and his general stand-in for Oliver Queen-status – manages to infuse this largely confusing story with something that genuinely feels like emotional stakes at last....

The Game Awards Return On December 3

Journalist Geoff Keighley reveals that industry awards ceremony The Game Awards will return on December 3 and will take place in Los Angeles, this time around. Last year’s Game Awards were conceived as a much more serious alternative to the Spike Video Game Awards, with the Spike awards show often being criticized for its overreliance on gamer stereotypes and jokes. The inaugural celebration, which was hosted (and set up by) journalist Geoff Keighley, went down well and offered a chance for commemorate the year’s best games while also playing host to several world premieres such as a No Man’s Sky gameplay trailer and a look at Metal Gear Online....

The Horror Movie Directors Who Could Direct Marvel S Blade Reboot

As recently reported, Marvel Studios has tweaked a good-sized chunk of its upcoming release schedule, shifting the release dates of five confirmed movies and taking one unannounced one off the calendar for now. The films that are moving include some biggies like Fantastic Four and Avengers: Secret Wars, but the whole thing – because any MCU moves tend to have a domino effect – seemed to start with the studio’s reboot of Blade being shot out of its November 2023 berth all the way to September 2024....

The Last Of Us 2 S Day Structure Accomplishes Something Few Other Games Can

The Last Of Us 2 released to overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics alike. While certain parts of the game may have disappointed some, there’s no denying the fact The Last Of Us 2 pushed boundaries through its jaw-dropping visuals, smart cinematography, solid performances, intense score, satisfying gameplay, and dual-tone narrative. 2013’s The Last Of Us was a tonal shift for Naughty Dog, a studio that had previously worked only on light-hearted titles such as Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted....

The Legend Of Zelda Are Zelda And Link Really Brother And Sister

In a recent look at the many unsolved mysteries and urban legends of the Legend of Zelda franchise, I briefly mentioned the idea that Zelda and Link are somehow related. At the time, I felt that the idea that those two characters could possibly be related was simply an urban legend. However, it’s since been pointed out that some interpretations of their relationship actually make that idea something closer to an unsolved mystery....

The Most Heroic Video Game Deaths Of All Time

Some of the best video games are praised on the strength of their characters. Whether they are the clear underdog or are at the height of importance in the world, a great character is the backbone of every good story. Sometimes, these characters are demanded to perform impossible tasks that test their very limits. Sometimes, these characters are even required to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. While sacrifices are important, they mean little without understanding their motivations to do so....

Star Trek Fleet Command Will Let Players Experience Every Timeline In Series History

Trekkies, set phasers to fun as Star Trek Fleet Command gives players the choice to experience every timeline in the long history of the franchise. Scopely, in collaboration with ViacomCBS Consumer Products, has announced that for the first time ever all Star Trek timelines will be available to explore in a brand new game. The news is surprising and massive in scope, because until now Star Trek Fleet Command, released in 2018, has only allowed players to experience the Kelvin Timeline that began in 2009 with the reboot of the cinematic Star Trek Universe....

Star Wars Andor Episode 1 3 Review

This Star Wars: Andor review contains spoilers. As wonderful as Diego Luna was as Cassian Andor in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story back in 2016, the feeling of seeing him on screen again in 2022 in Star Wars: Andor can’t be described as nostalgia. Yes, there’s a pleasant sense of familiarity when he walks onto the first scene, but because nearly everything we learn about Cassian on the show is brand-new, and his surroundings are utterly unfamiliar, there’s nothing about the series that’s trying to recreate any feelings we had about Rogue One....
