The 1.3 update for Stardew Valley added a long-desired feature: the ability to play with friends. You can play with up to three others either online or via local co-op, building a farm together. As much as the multiplayer option excited fans, the update added a whole bunch of new features that spiced up the game. They added new quests, character information, abilities, and more. If you thought you’ve done all there is to do in the game, this update brings more new content than you can shake your axe at....

One of the more interesting fighting games on the horizon is almost certainly Street Fighter 5. The game itself is set to be a console exclusive for PlayStation 4, which is already a bizarre twist in the eyes of many gamers, while the title’s plan for downloadable content could have super fans unlocking and earning all of it for free. It’s certainly an odd approach for such a prestigious franchise, and now hopeful players have gotten their first look at a brand-new fighter debuting in the game’s roster....

Though the zippy open-world shooter title Sunset Overdrive gained quite a following upon its release in 2014, the series has remained at a standstill. Today, Insomniac Games president Ted Price stated that while an upcoming sequel could definitely still be a possibility for the game, it would need Microsoft’s stamp of approval to come to full fruition. In an interview with Game Informer, Price commented on why no word, development, or current movement has been seen or heard of for an upcoming sequel....

Techland has issued a statement in response to the work environment investigation recently undertaken by TheGamer. TheGamer recently spoke with multiple employees from Dying Light developer Techland, unearthing a worrying pattern in the process. All ten of the employees interviewed, both former and current Techland staff, painted a picture of a toxic work culture as a result of CEO Pawel Marchewka and his inner circle. Although Marchewka responded to all of editor-in-chief Kirk McKeand’s questions at the time, Techland has now issued a statement in response to the report....

Another major gaming event has bit the dust in 2020 due to COVID-19, as the Tokyo Game Show has been canceled. However, a digital event will be held in its place. The Tokyo Game Show is one of the biggest video game trade shows in Japan and companies will bring their big guns to the event. Sony might have decided to skip E3, but the company has decided that the Tokyo Game Show is still worth its time and was exhibiting new games in 2019....

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is the second expansion to be released since their split from Activision. Shadowkeep, while it offered some great slices of content, had an overall lukewarm reception amongst the community for its campaign and lacking endgame systems. In some aspects, Beyond Light has done a great job of addressing issues the community had with Shadowkeep such as lacking progression systems and an unsatisfying campaign. Sadly, this expansion fails spectacularly when it comes to core Destiny systems such as loot....

BioWare has finally started to roll out trailers for Dragon Age 4 and the next Mass Effect title, although the latter is currently still being kept vague as to what direction the new game is looking to take. Most notably, the question of whether this upcoming title will be Mass Effect 4 or Andromeda 2 is still up in the air, but it seems to have been answered by a last minute cameo in the latest trailer....

During Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference, the video game publisher and developer gave fans the good news that the upcoming co-op shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will feature at least three free DLC episodes during Year 1. Of course, in a move that will seemingly offset such cost-free wares, the company has also announced that it will be bringing back microtransactions in the forthcoming sequel. This much was confirmed by Ubisoft Massive’s Associate Creative Director, Chadi El-Zibaoui, during an interview he had with GamingBolt, with The Division 2 dev divulging that there will be microtransactions in the sequel, and they will be limited to cosmetics....

Gamers uncover another Easter Egg in The Division. This time, Ubisoft Massive makes a reference to Chris Farley and one of his most beloved personas, Matt Foley. To the surprise of absolutely no one, yet another Easter Egg has been found in The Division. Ubisoft Massive has done a great job filling the many streets of midtown Manhattan with Easter Eggs from all over the film industry, ensuring that The Division has nods to everything from Breaking Bad to Shaun of the Dead....

It’s a full cycle for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as the upcoming Marvel series that was first teased during the Super Bowl last year and now just got its final trailer during Super Bowl 55 before its premiere on March 19. Of course, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was originally meant to be a 2020 summer release for Disney Plus, but the pandemic halted filming for the series and forced some reshuffling as with all of the MCU’s offerings....

It’s one of the few series that can actually hold its own against the Super Mario games. The Legend of Zelda has changed in some exciting ways over the years, arguably more than most of Nintendo’s properties. Link’s adventures are now much bigger, but there are still core elements that the games don’t abandon....

Developer Crytek, the creator of the CryEngine game engine, has filed a lawsuit against the development teams behind Star Citizen, accusing them of copyright infringement and breaching their contract. Crytek alleges that the developers of Star Citizen are still using lines of code from CryEngine 3, supposedly spotted in the game’s marketing material, and that, as a result, the developers have improperly removed the Crytek logo from the start of the game and failed to disclose modifications made to the game engine....
