Star Wars: Squadrons requires its players to know every class in-and-out, and the bomber class is going to be your best friend during Fleet Battles. Dogfights are cool and all, but there’s something beautiful about approaching an enemy capital ship as a bomber and delivering a payload of pain. If you want to beef up your capital ship damage numbers, you’re going to have to know your loadouts. The following is my recommended builds for each faction’s bomber....

Star Wars fans now have the chance to see Harrison Ford return to his role as Han Solo in an impressive new fan video. The Deepfake video adds Ford into some scenes from the 2018 prequel movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story. The video was created by YouTube user Shamook, who was able to digitally place Ford’s face over that of Alden Ehrenreich, who played young Han Solo in Solo. The result gives fans a glimpse at what the original Han Solo would have looked like in this origin story as he interacted with Chewbacca, Beckett, and Lando Calrissian....

The buildup and anticipation for Deep Silver/4A Games’ Metro Exodus has not gone as well as the studio may have hoped and, unfortunately, the hits just keep on coming. It was originally being reported that the game, which comes out this Friday, February 15th, would not allow pre-loading for Steam users who were lucky enough to pre-order the game before it was removed from the platform. The Epic Games Store was expected to be taking priority for the pre-load feature since, according to a Deep Silver support email response, most of the game’s traffic was anticipated to be through that platform....

The newest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu revealed that development for the next entry in the Story of Seasons series, Pioneers of Olive Town, is 80% complete. Famitsu’s four-page SoS: PoOT feature included new art and screenshots, as well as this detail about developer progress. This update suggests that developer Marvelous Inc. is on track to launch the game on its promised February 25, 2021 release date in Japan. (The localized versions of the game currently have a release set for March 23, 2021....

The farming sim series Bokujo Monogatari has long been known by the name Harvest Moon in North America, but that changed in 2012 when the series changed publishers from Natsume to XSEED....

It’s actually a bit surprising how underrepresented The Legend of Zelda is in Super Smash Bros. Despite being part of Nintendo’s holy trinity right up there with Super Mario Bros. and Metroid (another underrepresented franchise,) the series only has six reps as of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate– and two of them were once the same character! It’s not as if The Legend of Zelda is devoid of character either. As Hyrule Warriors made evidently clear, even the most basic of archetypes can be fleshed out into colorful figures who come to life in action....

Video game developer Night Dive Studios officially announces that its remake of the first-person action-RPG System Shock gets a delay until the year 2018. Ever since Night Dive Studios released the pre-alpha gameplay trailer for its remake of the 1994 first-person cyberpunk game System Shock, fans have been hankering to hop back into the role of the Hacker in order to have another showdown with SHODAN. However, those gamers are going to have to wait even longer since the developer has now revealed that the forthcoming release’s availability is going to be pushed back for quite some time, as its System Shock remake is now slated to drop in the second quarter of 2018....

Tencent has made another move in reinforcing its position in the Western video game industry, this time acquiring “a major stake” in Swedish developer 10 Chambers Collective. The latter is known for its cooperative survival horror first-person shooter GTFO, which has received a steady following from fans and critics alike. The game puts players in the shoes of prisoners sent deep underground to fulfill various tasks against hordes of monstrous creatures of unknown origin....

The enemy fairies found in the Hallow biome can be turned into a pet. The Hallow biome is only available after you kill all the main bosses and your world turns into Hardmode. Once you defeat all the skeletons and Cthulhu’s and walls of flesh, this biome will naturally spawn. A fairy pet acts as a light pet that provides a decent amount of light to follow you around with....

After a Reddit user suggested Terry Crews as a candidate to voice the mysterious Overwatch character Doomfist, the Hollywood actor himself responds with an enthusiastic yes. In the months since its release, Blizzard’s online-multiplayer shooter Overwatch has drawn a considerable amount of critical acclaim for its unique take on the genre, and in particular, its memorable roster of heroes. The 100 may kill a lot of people off, but there always seem to be plenty more of them, usually dispersed geographically until the end of the season, making it tough for non-Clarkes to get decent screen time....

Dragon Quest has long been a giant among JRPGs, even if it hasn’t been as infamous overseas until more recent years. Credited with starting some of the most ubiquitous trends in the entire genre - things like changing classes, setting friendly AI priorities, and even training monsters - some even argue that the first Dragon Quest was the first JRPG, period. With a legacy like that, it’s only natural that a fanbase to match would spring up, classic games fans flocking to the series to see what’s next in store....

A key moment in The Crown – Netflix’s premier biographical dramatization of the modern British Monarchy – is when the newly anointed Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy, then Olivia Colman) is advised by her grandmother Queen Mary (Eileen Akins) about her new position. “To be impartial is not natural, not human”, she tells Elizabeth, but Elizabeth is no longer ‘human’. Instead she is a “divinely-appointed” sovereign, a unifying apolitical figurehead for the country, meant to neutrally inspire the public rather than impose her own opinion....

This week’s The Expanse was all about taking a pivotal moment from the James S.A. Corey novels, one that was seemingly impossible to translate to the small screen, and making it work visually, and the truth is it’s very difficult for one who has read Abbadon’s Gate to judge whether non-readers were able to figure out what the hell was going on. On the one hand, the speed limit idea was well explained, and Holden’s journey to the nucleus with multiple pursuers held plenty of excitement, but on the other hand, many of the consequences of what happened in the central station were left up in the air leaving things enticingly, but for some perhaps confusingly, unresolved....

The Flash Season 7 Episode 1 It’s likely that most of us are so glad to have The Flash back on our screens that the Season 7 premiere could probably have featured our faves doing system updates on the STAR Labs computers and we would have been fine with it. Thankfully, although “All’s Wells That Ends Wells” is not necessarily the hour that many of us would have chosen to kick off the series’ seventh season, it is still a charming and emotional showcase for stars Grant Gustin and Tom Cavanagh that’s more than entertaining enough....
