Some must-see early footage of Ubisoft’s up-and-coming shooter/RPG hybrid The Division hits YouTube after some lucky gamers were granted an early look at the game during its alpha stage. Ubisoft allowed a few players to get a look at The Division during a closed alpha test that ran earlier this month without much hype surrounding it, so the sudden leak of footage is a little surprising. Usually, participants in the closed alpha test of a game as significant as The Division are forbidden from uploading any footage or discussing the details of what they experienced, but it’s clear that rule either didn’t exist in this case or, much more likely, one of the people involved simply chose to ignore their responsibilities in maintaining the game’s secrets for longer....

After recreating the Temple of Time from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time using Unreal Engine 4, YouTuber CryZENx recreates the Zora’s Domain and Death Mountain Crater levels. When Epic Games released their Unreal Engine 4 to the public for free a year ago, there was excitement at what could be created using this technology. This proved to be a fantastic move, as a Legend of Zelda fan utilized the power of Unreal Engine 4 to create a gorgeous recreation of the iconic Kakariko Village from Ocarina of Time....

This spoiler-free review of The Man in the High Castle is based on viewing the first five episodes. The Man in the High Castle has had its ups and downs over the past three seasons, but if the first episodes of season 4 made available for review are any indication of the season to come, this may be one of those rare instances where a series improves with age. Although the political plot of the Pacific States is stuck on repeat, storylines involving John Smith and Juliana Crain are, as usual, the highlight of the series, and a new twist on the Resistance provides plenty of action and intrigue....

Wednesday’s Oculus Gaming Showcase brought a slew of new game announcements for Oculus Quest 2 users, including two new games for Star Wars fans. First is Star Wars Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge Part 2, which will feature Dok-Onday from Disneyland’s Star Wars theme park, and the second is Star Wars Pinball VR. Coming from Zen Studios, Star Wars Pinball VR features six classic pinball tables and two brand new pinball tables built specifically for the VR game....

Usually, when somebody is thinking of playing a fighting game where sweat drips down their faces and onto the controller, they think of games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. But just when it appeared as though these 2D battlers had a monopoly on intensity, Star Wars: Squadrons swooped in and showed the world that sci-fi fantasy games have plenty of room for heart-pounding action. Unfortunately, for many players, the heart-pounding action always seems to end in disappointment....

Steam Refunds is the new program launched by the mega-popular online game platform. The program will finally allow gamers to return games that are defective, don’t work with a user’s hardware specifications, or just aren’t to the player’s liking. But despite its many benefits and positive effects on the gaming industry, Steam doesn’t have the greatest record with customer service. A Steam refund program has been a long time coming. Switch fans, put away your wallets. The long-rumored Switch Pro still isn’t even being acknowledged by Nintendo even as fans beg for an upgraded version of the handheld console. At the end of Nintendo’s most recent earnings call, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa held a Q&A session with investors where Bloomberg asked whether or not we’d hear from the Switch Pro. Furukawa’s response was simply, “Not anytime soon.” Of course, this doesn’t mean that we won’t get a Switch Pro later in 2021–perhaps in time for the next holiday season....

Taiwanese police managed to track down the man who lost his Nintendo Switch by using Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ in-game mailing function. In New Horizons, you can send mail. You just purchase a postcard, write whatever it is you want to write, and then send it to whoever you want to send it. The recipient can be anyone on your island or anyone on your friend’s list, and you can even send them a gift if you really like ’em....

Telltale releases a new patch for Batman: The Telltale Series PC in the hopes of improving performance, but some players are still reporting issues with lag, framerates and more. Earlier this week, the release of Telltale’s latest episodic saga, Batman: The Telltale Series, was met with heavy criticisms from PC players. Batman: The Telltale Series PC launched with a series of bugs and problems that made the game unplayable – from graphical issues, to sound that’s out of sync with the visuals and even mouse cursors getting stuck in an invisible box – and the game’s Steam page was hit with an avalanche of negative reviews as a result....
