One of the most important names in the Street Fighter community, Yoshinori Ono, has announced that he is leaving Capcom after nearly 30 years with the organization. The news is bittersweet as Ono has had a remarkable impact on the game for decades, and it is difficult to imagine the future of the series without him championing the future of the game and its esports scene. In leaving, Ono penned a heartfelt letter to fans of the series, as well as to all fans of the Fighting Game Community (FGC)....

When Kentucky governor Matt Bevin (R) condemned violent video games, stating that they are responsible for “desensitizing young people to the actual tragic reality and permanency of death,” many weighed in on the discussion. His insinuations that violent video games were partly responsible for mass shootings were met with either staunch support or fierce opposition, yet now, a 16-year-old Chicago high school sophomore has been ordered not to play violent video games after making threats on social media....

Mario Party has always been the best of the perky plumber’s spin-offs to me. Late last night, Team China announced its much-anticipated roster for the 2019 Overwatch World Cup. Four of the seven-man roster are players for the Chengdu Hunters, an OWL team that has had mild success and is mostly known for its various comps revolving around Wrecking Ball when 3-3 was the dominant meta.
