Hard Reset, the first title to be released from Polish developer Flying Wild Hog, finally has its first trailer. Hard Reset is a first person shooter featuring a dark sci-fi setting and what Flying Wild Hog describes as “old school shooter” gameplay. Hard Reset follows the story of Major Fletcher, a combat veteran and a member of a military force known as the CLN. Fletcher finds himself on the city of Bezoar, the last remaining human city and is soon dragged into a conflict between two of humanity’s greatest enemies....

The High Republic, the new series of books and comics set to explore a new era of the Star Wars universe, has been delayed to 2021, according to StarWars.com. In a letter to fans, Lucasfilm Publishing creative director Michael Siglain cited “unprecedented times” as the cause of the delay. While Siglain didn’t say as much, it’s likely that delays in printing and distribution as a result of the coronavirus pandemic are to blame for the date change....

Ever since Electronic Arts acquired the exclusive deal to develop Star Wars games, fans haven’t necessarily been thrilled about the quality and quantity of games that they’ve seen from the giant publisher. Both Star Wars: Battlefront 1 and 2 received middling critical reception, and in addition Star Wars: Battlefront 2 featured such egregious microtransactions that it sparked an industry-wide shift. A new report from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) claims that the popular PC gaming storefront Steam is a breeding ground for hate and extremism. The report specifically calls out the potential for white supremacist ideology to be spread on the platform through various key terms, symbols, and common acronyms. It isn’t the first time Steam has been scrutinized for such a thing, with users criticizing the platform’s lack of moderation regularly....

During today’s Indie World Showcase, it was just announced by Nintendo that Subnautica as well as its upcoming sequel Subnautica: Below Zero will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2021. The trailer showcases footage from both titles seemingly running natively on the Switch, with quite good results. While the titles do not yet have release dates announced, the games simply have been given the launch window of sometime in 2021....

It has been a long wait for Rocksteady Studios to announce its next project, but finally, at DC Fandome, the developer gave fans a look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While still rooted in the same DC Comics universe that Rocksteady cut its teeth on, the 4-player co-op title also looks to be a significant departure for the studio. Unfortunately, the reveal trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was only CG and didn’t give too many hints about the story and gameplay....

Earlier this year, it was announced that Temtem would be getting PS4, Switch, and Xbox One ports, allowing players to take their Pokemon-like MMORPG across multiple platforms. That’s still the plan, but today, developer Crema Games confirmed that it’s dropped the PS4 and Xbox ports from the lineup. Amid the announcements that made up Sony’s latest State of Play event yesterday was news that Temtem is coming to the PS5, with Crema later announcing that the game is coming to the Xbox Series X as well....

Florian Munteanu, best known for his role as Viktor Drago in Creed II, has officially joined the cast of the upcoming Borderlands movie. I’ve never been someone who’s especially taken by top-down, fixed-camera shooters. The only games that ever really appealed to me were Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and its sequel, and that was only because I got to play as my favorite superheroes. Yet, when the opportunity to check out an early build of The Ascent – from indie developer Neon Giant – I couldn’t help but jump at the chance. Even in its early build, The Ascent is a fun and addictive action-shooter RPG set in a sci-fi cyberpunk world – one that I can’t wait to get back into....
