In an update to the drawn-out lawsuit made by Fortnite start Tfue against FaZe over its “oppressive contract,” the complaint has been dismissed in Californian courts, but the dispute isn’t over yet. Back in May 2019, one of the biggest Fortnite streamers, Turner “Tfue” Tenny, sued FaZe Clan. Tfue believed his contract with the esports organization was “unlawful” and “oppressive” in that it prevented him from signing deals with sponsors and brands, as well as took a whopping 80% cut of the profits from Tfue....

Fumito Ueda, famed game director behind Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, says that his next game will be “very different” from the games that fans have seen him make before. While he avoided going into much more detail, Ueda did offer some more thoughts about development of whatever his next game may be. First off, Ueda said that he us going about early production differently. Whereas with his previous games, he says he started off with visual inspiration from something like a short film, with his next game, he plans of building a prototype....

It looks like The Last of Us Part 2 may have had a much darker tone during earlier drafts of the script, all the way to a completely different theme and ending. This shouldn’t come as much a surprise, seeing as how the game has a number of deleted scenes and involved plenty of redesigns before the final product shipped. In an interview with Game Informer, Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Narrative Lead Halley Gross both commented on the process that led to building The Last of Us Part 2’s story and the ending....

The Last of Us 2 recently released an extended commercial, getting fans hyped for the game’s upcoming June 19 release date. The trailer uses a cover of New Order’s “True Faith,” with Ellie adding humming vocals while playing the song. However, the cover is very similar to a cover of “True Faith” performed by musician Lotte Kestner, who released her version of the song on her album Stolen back in 2011....

Rebel spy Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) returns for his on Disney+ live-action series, suitably titled Andor. Set before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the show presumably tells the story of how Andor ended up joining the Rebel Alliance and becoming one of the group’s most elite operatives. Sony announces the availability of the Star Wars Battlefront themed Darth Vader PS4 DualShock 4 controller to be sold independently later in November. During this year’s D23 expo, Sony unveiled its exclusive Star Wars Battlefront partnership with Disney, including the announcement of a Darth Vader themed PS4 bundle. Obviously, the Sith Lord designed console package is set to contain a copy of DICE’s and Electronic Arts’ reboot of the forthcoming Star Wars Battlefront, but it will also have a DualShock 4 modeled after the elder Skywalker’s suit, which will now be purchasable as a standalone item....
