On Thursday night, President Donald Trump signed an executive order stating that both TikTok and WeChat would be banned from the United States if their Chinese parent companies did not sell their shares to US-based companies within 45 days. WeChat’s parent company is Tencent, a Chinese based company that owns shares not only in the communication app, but is also a prominent investor and presence in the video game industry. With the news of this ban, many gamers have grown nervous as to what this could possibly mean for the games they enjoy daily....

The hunt is finally underway in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, with its beloved Zombies easter egg now active. While it’s still a long way off, The Elder Scrolls 6 may feature a tribute to a deceased fan. Nothing has been set in stone yet, but Bethesda has formally responded to a request from the fan’s girlfriend, with the company asking for additional details about the fan, though not being able to promise the addition in an official capacity. The fan in question is Colton ‘Colt’ Meredith, whose final Facebook post before his death stated that he would “give up literally anything to just be in Skyrim....

While it’s probably still a few years away, The Elder Scrolls 6 might be Bethesda’s most highly anticipated game among fans. And while its predecessor, Skyrim, is one of the best-selling games of all time, that hasn’t spared it from criticism. While the game offered a lot of interesting concepts and locales, some long-time fans of the franchise have critiqued how simple the formula is compared to other games in the series....

Last July, Steam started making it harder for people to purchase games from other countries. The issue here was that some countries sold games for WAY cheaper than they were being sold in others. Assassin’s Creed Unity, for example, was being sold for $20 in America, but just 28 Rupees in Indonesia. The Flash actor Hartley Sawyer has been fired from the hit CW TV show after fans uncovered several offensive tweets posted over several years. Sawyer is one of several entertainers and athletes to have lost their jobs over offensive comments in the last few months, with NASCAR driver Kyle Larson being fired after saying a racial slur during a Twitch stream. On Twitter, The Flash showrunner Eric Wallace confirmed that Sawyer will not be returning for season seven of the popular DC superhero show....

Even The Losers get lucky sometimes. Before the DCEU was formed to compete against the ever-expanding, cash cow that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the approach at Warner Bros. was far looser. With the booming business of comic book adaptations in full swing, the studio was throwing money at several eclectic comic book titles like Watchmen and Jonah Hex, trying to stay competitive and seemingly more adult than their rivals. Hence before leaving to create his own superhero project, Hancock, writer-director Peter Berg started penning an adaptation of DC/Vertigo’s The Losers, bringing in French director Sylvain White to helm the picture....

The next event in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is bringing back the days of the Nintendo 64, as characters who appeared in N64 games will be appearing on the Spirit Board and offering more experience points than usual. According to the SmashBrosJP Twitter page, the N64 Spirit Board event will run from June 5 to June 7. During this time, characters will appear on a set schedule and will allow players to battle/acquire them....
