Last week, Ubisoft officially announced The Division 2. The follow-up to 2016’s open-world shooter The Division, The Division 2 is being developed by several Ubisoft studios including Massive Entertainment (the lead developer on the game), as well as Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest, and Ubisoft Shanghai. Ubisoft Sofia is also providing support on the project, according to some publications. While it’s not uncommon for Ubisoft games to include the work of several studios across the company (Ubisoft even hosts an annual conference allowing the different dev teams to share ideas), The Division 2 could set a new record for the company....

When Ubisoft announced earlier this week that Massive would be working on a new Avatar game with Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox, many gamers wondered about the future of Massive’s other release, Tom Clancy’s The Division. Now, Ubisoft has settled some of those worries by confirming that a completely different team will develop Avatar, and that Massive will continue to support The Division. Ubisoft submitted a statement to Eurogamer on the subject, detailing how the two teams will be separate, and how Massive is currently hiring new employees to help with the Avatar title so as not to disturb The Division’s ongoing support....

The Godfather I and II are consistently ranked by critics’ lists among the best movies of all time. The Godfather III is not. That said, Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo’s worst film adaptation of the latter’s novels were, and still are, pretty respectable works of art. It’s no surprise then that Paramount Pictures is doing their best to bring the Corleone family back, first with the announcement of a ten part miniseries that examines The Godfather’s production; and now, by resurrecting The Godfather III just the way their creators wanted it to be back in 1990....

Considering the big announcement centered around it and the claw-based logo, Marvel looks to be treating this as a major part of the movie and not a high-profile cameo like Reed Richards in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. They are outright selling us on the idea of a Deadpool/Wolverine team-up at the box office!...

With The Last of Us: Part II, Naughty Dog tried to challenge the idea of morality, where you eventually have to root for some morally-damaged people: Joel, Ellie, and Abby. It fuses between protagonists and antagonists; hence many are not ready for that conversation yet. A lot of new characters were introduced in Part II, and one of them was Nora Harris. While Nora wasn’t mentioned as much as others, she did help Abby get hold of her revenge, thus making Nora an important character, too....

Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 both feature iconic playable characters. Fallout 3 and its sequel introduced the Lone Wanderer and Sole Survivor respectively as playable characters. Both have a pretty similar story, as the Lone Wanderer and Sole Survivor go through the wasteland in an attempt to find a family member. The Wanderer goes to search for their dad, while the Survivor is on the search for their son. Despite these similarities, these playable characters have their own unique traits that set them apart....

The Lord of the Rings franchise has already had numerous video games released within its universe, with one of the more recent titles inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien’s fictional world being Monolith Productions’ action-RPG, Middle-earth: Shadow of War. Now, it looks as if a new LotR video game property is set to enter the fold in the near future, with Daedalic Entertainment officially announcing that it is working with Middle-earth Enterprises to put out a project called The Lord of the Rings – Gollum....

Super Mario Odyssey released in October last year to critically acclaimed reviews. The game has also sold marvelously well. Back in January, GameIndustry.biz confirmed that Odyssey was the highest selling Switch game, selling over nine million units.
