For several years now (six to be exact) gamers around the world have been participating in a 24-hour gaming marathon called Extra Life. Some of you may be familiar with the event, but for those who aren’t here’s a quick rundown....
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next spirit event will begin on May 22 and will feature crown wearing characters. These spirit board events are weekly events in the Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Switch that last a few days. During these events players will get the opportunity to face off against select characters on the spirit board submenu to earn special perks. Each event features a theme for the characters that will appear, things like appearance to their origin game....
For fans of classic JRPGs, one of our most anticipated this year is Tears of Avia, from developer CooCooSqueaky. This week, we got our first look at the combat, skill system, and cast that we’ll be adventuring with later this summer on Xbox One and PC via Steam. In a newly released gameplay trailer, glimpses of the characters of Tears of Avia were shown along with their attributes, roles, and special abilities....
Fighting games rarely have good storylines. If that sentence makes you angry, open up your phone, get on Google Maps, type in ‘field’, and follow the directions until you find some grass. Now, touch it. Fighting games are still great, especially if you play with someone who’s just about on your skill level but not quite. Whether you’re a button masher, someone just starting to learn the combos, or a Fuzzy Guard, Footsie, and Frame Trap fan, as long as you play with someone just like you, you’ll have a great time....
Dontnod Entertainment’s Tell Me Why, features three chapters, all available for Xbox Game Pass. The game includes 13 collectible figurines to be found, five in the first and second chapters and three in the final chapter. These collectibles can be found scattered throughout the numerous sections of each chapter, and their exact locations will be detailed in this guide. Some very vague, minor spoilers will be included here as reference points for when the collectibles will appear, though you should be able to read ahead without much fear of revealing too much about the story....
The Wall of Flesh is the last boss you need to defeat to have your world enter Hardmode. It’s a monumental step towards taking on the final boss, Moon Lord. The Underworld contains the next strongest ore you’ll need to be able to survive Hardmode, but the peace of mining it can only be accomplished by defeating the Wall itself. Although you could mine it and use it before taking on this boss for ultimate protection....
One of the biggest selling points for many gamers when it comes to the PlayStation 4 is its versatile list of RPGs. The console has a fantastic range of Japanese RPGs, classic CRPGs, action RPGs, and more to choose from. For a genre that was once considered niche or too time-consuming for the average gamer, upcoming RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077 still have fans more excited in anticipation of their release than the yearly release of the next FIFA or Madden game....
If you’re just starting your adventure in Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City, there’s a million things to do and a hundred different quests in your quest log. Simply walking in the city itself will also eventually lead you up to various gigs and side missions, some of which might feel repetitive and others which are surprisingly unique and fun to play through. Even if the main quest might seem like the most exciting part of the game initially, it’s definitely recommended to play through as many side missions as possible....
Minecraft Dungeons is full of enchanted armor sets that fans can obtain while dungeon diving in the different levels within the game. Some of these unique armor pieces offer powerful effects such as damage buffs and even spawnable pets to aid players when they’re in a battle with enemies. Some pieces of armor are more powerful than others and are only obtainable from specific locations that players will have to farm in if they wish to obtain the item for themselves....
In the field of video games, Microsoft has been a direct competitor of Sony almost as long as the latter had begun making consoles. During the heyday of the PlayStation 2, Microsoft had thrown their own hat into the gaming ring with the Xbox, a massively-sized black box that didn’t do much to dent the PlayStation’s profits, but slowly grew a sizeable audience in its own right. When the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 released, the tide turned in Microsoft’s favor, with the 360’s focus on online gaming and multiplayer-focused hits (as well as a much cheaper price point) resulting in a massive lead that Sony had to spend most of the generation catching up....

The Changeling (1980) is a film that directors such as Martin Scorsese and Alejandro Amenabar have cited as a strong influence, and yet it doesn’t quite hold the same level of public recognition as, say, The Exorcist. The Division 2 is a game built around cooperating with other players, whether it be in the four-player story missions or in the large eight-player raids. Considering this, players may want to join a clan in the game so that they can play with like-minded people who can help them conquer its more difficult challenges. However, the game does not make it immediately clear how players can unlock clans in The Division 2....

Now that John Wick 4 and 5 are well into production, it’s a good time to take a look back on the first three movies in the franchise. The Last of Us Part II has finally dropped and Naughty Dog seems to have another big hit on their hands. Just like the previous game, a lot of hard work and soul went into the making of this game. However, the company has been notoriously getting flak for their unfair treatment of having employees working tons of overtime to finish making the game just in time for release.
