Some of the games we were most looking forward to in 2015 never arrived, so it’s time to check in on the delays and decide if these highly-anticipated titles are still on the right track. Delays are nothing new to the gaming industry, but the last few years have been victim to even more last minute schedule changes than usual. Although 2015’s delays weren’t quite as extreme as the now legendary fall of 2014, the year did still come and go without many of the games that the community was looking forward to....

A Street Fighter vs. DC PSP game reportedly could have been all the way back in 2005, according to a document recovered by game archivist Andrew Borman. The document features a pitch by Climax for a crossover fighting game inspired by Capcom’s previous releases, taking specific gameplay cues from X-Men vs. Street Fighter. There’s no evidence that the pitch ever went further than the document itself, but it’s exciting to think about how the modern fighting game market might be different if Street Fighter vs....

Beat-em-ups, as a genre, have faded in and out of fashion over the years. What was once the cornerstone of any quality arcade quickly made the transition to home consoles, but then faded away as experiences became longer and more defined. Beat-em-ups, by design, are simple and don’t often hold room for complex button inputs or combos. After disappearing for roughly an entire console generation, the genre came roaring back into the limelight with Castle Crashers in 2008....

British independent video game studio Straight Back Games recently announced the Steam launch date for its upcoming co-op survival horror game, Devour. Mark your calendar for January 28, but start preparing to stop cult leader Anna Puerta before the demon possessing her drags everyone down to hell. Devour’s Steam page is live, and features the Devour Release Teaser video that accompanied the release date announcement. And if the name Anna Puerta rings any bells, you may know it from Straight Back Games’ previous game, The Watchers, where she was also one of the main characters....

It’s a pretty good day for Nintendo Switch owners looking for some new games to play. Amid the Switch titles highlighted during this morning’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase, there were quite a few that have been made available today, and this includes the charming-looking Takeshi and Hiroshi. This indie RPG from Oink Games has probably flown under most people’s radars, due to it being an Apple Arcade exclusive since last year, but now that it’s on the Switch, a lot more players can now experience the game’s mix of RPG gameplay and a story told through puppet-based stop-motion animation....

A streamer has broken the 2,000 consecutive day mark on Twitch and claims to have no plans of slowing down, having streamed for 2,070 days without fail since May 24, 2015, up until this past Friday. The gamer, past his 15th birthday but yet to see his 20th, wishes to remain unnamed. He runs the accounts HEAVENSARMY on both Twitch and YouTube from which he streams a number of titles, including likes of Rune Factory, Ghost of Tsushima, and Final Fantasy....

Are you ready for the King of Iron Qwack Tournament? Both Kazuya and Heihachi from the Tekken series have been transformed into ducks for this Tubbz collectible toy line. It goes without question that these figures are hilarious. Both Kazuya and Heihachi have an intense look in this comical form as they have a plagued history between them lasting decades. The devil is gripping his fists, ready for a fight. His chest has the iconic scar, which is honestly quite weird to see on a duck....

Today, the video game developer Telltale Games decided to unveil the official release date for the first episode in its serialized game for Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, by announcing its debut of April 18, 2017. Not to mention, the studio has given the periodical release’s first of five episodes the title of “Tangled Up in Blue,” which is undoubtedly a direct reference to Bob Dylan’s classic song from the singer-songwriter’s 1975 album Blood on the Tracks....

Today, the publisher and developer Telltale Games has revealed that the release date for the second episode in its serialized graphic adventure Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be June 6, 2017. Continuing the musical mixtape theme of the previous entry, the title of the forthcoming installment is set to be “Under Pressure,” which is an homage to Queen and David Bowie’s iconic song of the same name....

A new area is ready to be explored in the world of Temtem as the game expands with a major new update. Players of Temtem can now travel to Cipanku Island which will introduce new creatures, characters, and locations to the addictive RPG. Temtem is an online RPG along the lines of the popular Pokemon franchise where players can capture creatures to form their own unique team. Once assembled, you can travel across the airborne Archipelago to battle against other tamers....

Fishing in Terraria is one of the most lucrative ways to spend your time. You’ll inevitably end up fishing at least a couple of times, especially if you want to complete the Angler’s fishing quests.
