Most video game adaptations to other mediums are flops, but these comics based on games all manage to deliver amazing stories that enhance the games’ characters and worlds. It’s no secret that video game adaptations in other mediums don’t have the best track record. Even with successful Hollywood stars like Duncan Jones or Michael Fassbender attached, video game movies like Warcraft and Assassin’s Creed still can’t seem to please the critics....

The Metal Gear Solid series has been on hiatus for the past number of years after Kojima Productions left Konami. The franchise seems to be dead in the water after the universally disliked Metal Gear Survive hit store shelves. It’s unlikely that Hideo Kojima will return to the Konami fold any time soon, and the publisher doesn’t seem to consider the series as a priority at the moment. It could, however, be in the best interest of Konami to commence work on a remake collection of the older games in the series....

Today, Ubisoft made some big announcements about the PC version of The Division 2, its upcoming third-person shooter. Alongside the confirmation that the PC version of the game will be skipping Steam and releasing on the Epic Games Store (and Ubisoft store) instead, it also detailed The Division 2’s PC-specific features. Two of the biggest features for The Division 2 on PC are uncapped framerate and uncapped display resolution support. This should allow players with more powerful hardware to enjoy the game at the highest visual quality....

PlayStation 4 owners who play The Elder Scrolls Online can breathe a sigh of relief as ZeniMax Online Studios has announced that despite the recent aquisition of ZeniMax Media by Microsoft, the popular MMO will still remain on the Sony console. Announced in response to the thousands of questions regarding The Elder Scrolls Online that followed the acquisition, ZeniMax Online Studios director Matt Firor took to Twitter to state that the developer will still support the game on all available platforms, assuring fans who own the PlayStation 4 version of the game....

As the drip feed for more information on the PlayStation 5 continues, Sony has opted to shadow-drop the reveal of the console’s new DualSense controller. The first full evolution of the DualShock peripheral, the DualSense sports all new ergonomics alongside a familiar in-line joystick and button layout, but with a drastically different aesthetic. Various new and improved features come along with the radically changed controller, showing that Sony is really changing things up with the PS5....

During PlayStation Experience 2016, Sony Interactive Entertainment officially reveals developer Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part 2 with a new trailer. Although it was unofficial information at the time, NeoGAF user and industry insider Shinobi602 offered up the notion that Sony’s PSX 2016 would reveal a sequel to Naughty Dog’s popular post-pandemic title with some brand new footage. Star Wars Battlefront 2 isn’t set to be released until November, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping EA from testing the game. According to multiple gamers on NeoGAF and social media, EA is currently sending out closed alpha invites for Star Wars Battlefront 2, with some gamers already playing the game. The concept of an alpha testing stage for Battlefront 2 was leaked by a community manager a few days ago, but the leak didn’t give a timeline for the alpha....

With the world premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi set for next week, EA chose an appropriate time to reveal the trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront 2’s Last Jedi DLC. The trailer, which appears to focus on the rivalry between Finn and Captain Phasma, is highly reminiscent of the movie trailer itself. This DLC is free for all players beginning December 13. Star Wars: Squadrons developer, Motive Studios, stated that it had no plans for post-launch content, but in a surprise turn, it announced a two-part free update set to release in November and December. The game launched last month in October and also received new Mandalorian content to celebrate the second season’s launch on Disney+. In November, players will be able to take to the skies in Fostar Haven, a map pulled from the single-player campaign that will now be accessible in Fleet Battles and Dogfight mode....
