Google has announced the free games that will be available for Stadia Pro subscribers to claim in May, which include SteamWorld Heist, The Turing Test, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
The intention for Google Stadia is that there will be a free tier and a Pro subscription tier. The free tier will allow people to stream games without any extra cost, but they will need to purchase individual games and they won’t be able to stream them at the highest possible quality. The people who pay for the Pro subscription tier will be able to stream games at the maximum quality (so long as they have the compatible hardware/Internet speed), and they’ll be given free games every month, so long as they maintain their subscription.
Google has held another Stadia Connect event and it has revealed that three games will be free for Stadia Pro subscribers to claim in May. The games are SteamWorld Heist, The Turing Test, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
SteamWorld Heist is a turn-based shooter, where the player controls a crew of robot space pirates as they loot their way through the galaxy. The Turing Test is a first-person puzzle game, where an engineer has to explore a space station in order to search for her comrades. Zombie Army 4: Dead War is a spin-off of the Sniper Elite series, where the player has to battle through hordes of undead nazis. A new add-on mission called Hell Count will also be available to purchase in the future.
Google is giving everyone two free months of Stadia Pro, so everyone can claim these games as soon as they go live without needing to pay extra for them. Once the two-month subscription ends, they will need to pay a monthly fee to retain access to the games. The people who try out Stadia Pro now can also gain instant access to other titles, including Destiny 2: The Collection and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds - Pioneer Edition.
SteamWorld Heist, The Turing Test, and Zombie Army 4: Dead War will be free for Stadia Pro subscribers to claim in May 2020.
