Google Stadia made several exciting announcements during today’s Holiday Live Hangout. Among the biggest news was the immediate release of two games – Outcasters and Submerged: Hidden Depths – and exclusive content for Journey to the Savage Planet.

Outcasters, a wild new game from Splash Damage, is now available as a free title for Stadia Pro members or $19.99 on the Stadia store. We had an extensive interview with the developers, and our full review should be out within the next few days. So far, however, I can say that it’s a great addition to the Stadia lineup.

Submerged: Hidden Depths is also available as a free game for Stadia Pro members or $19.99 for non-members. This new title is drastically different from Outcasters, as it’s billed as “a relaxing, third-person exploration and adventure game.” There’s no combat in Submerged at all, and you’ll be able to explore the world at your own pace.

It’s not a new game, but plenty of new content was announced for Journey to the Savage Planet. Dubbed the Employee of the Month Edition, the Stadia exclusive edition features an enhanced photo mode, new ads for new fictional products, and runs at 60fps with improved graphics.

The last game discussed was Valkyria Chronicles 4: Complete Edition, which will come to Stadia on December 8. This edition of the popular game includes the base game and all available DLC, such as Squad E to the Beach, Expert Level Skirmishes, and The Two Valkyria.

Stadia Games & Entertainment also announced a partnership with Thunderful Games, which will result in a new game exclusive to Stadia. We didn’t hear much more about what we can expect that game to look like, but it’s an exciting partnership, nonetheless. The studio has worked on indie gems such as Lonely Mountains: Downhill and Steamworld Quest: Hand of Gilgamesh – a new title exclusive to Stadia is bound to pique the interest of a lot of players.
