In less than one week, Respawn Entertainment’s first title, Titanfall, will hit store shelves for Xbox One and PC. While most of the content has already been leaked in regards to day one stages, Electronic Arts has confirmed that there will be additional content arriving across all platforms at a later point in time. As is usually the case for an onslaught of future downloadable content, it’s been confirmed that a Season Pass for Titanfall will be made available alongside the game’s launch.

According to Respawn, the recently revealed Season Pass will come with a total of three different packs that are scheduled to be released at a later date. The contents of the forthcoming DLC drops are still unconfirmed, but those gung-ho enough to commit to paying for the additional content in advance will be able to get the Titanfall Season Pass for $24.99 on Xbox One and 360 — saving $5 in the process.

PC users can also purchase the pass separately for the previously mentioned price point through Electronic Art’s Origin service. Of course, those that already plan on picking up the content can invest in the $79.99 Digital Deluxe edition, which includes a copy of the game and the newly announced Season Pass.

While the Season Pass isn’t surprising given the hype and expectations for Titanfall thus far, a new (and bizarre) advertising campaign should entertain fans of the old school gaming generation. EA and Atari have teamed up to release Titanfall Arcade, which throws titans into older games like Asteroids, Centipede, and Missle Command. As of this writing, only Asteroids is available to play on TitanfallArcade.com, but the remaining two will likely be made available soon.

The partnership is a little odd, but it should be a worthwhile venture for both Atari and Electronic Arts as it brings attention to all the games present in the collection. With the wait for Titanfall is almost at an end, gamers are sure to be chomping at the bit to drop titans into the battlefield — especially after their hands-on time with the game during the public beta.

Will you be picking up the Season Pass for Titanfall? What do you think of the Atari-based Titanfall Arcade?

Titanfall drops onto store shelves for Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2014, while the Xbox 360 version will be made available on March 25, 2014.
