Not too long ago, Electronic Arts and DICE decided to give Star Wars Battlefront 2 fans a better idea at the science fiction shooter’s next patch, which will incorporate the limited time Jetpack Cargo mode into the game. Now, the publisher and developer have officially confirmed the release date for Update 1.2 as February 19, 2018 across the title’s PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One platforms.

According to a recent post from the Star Wars Battlefront 2 community member known as “Sledgehammer70”, fans of the first-person shooter should expect to see Update 1.2 roll out in the early hours next Monday morning. To be specific, PC players will get the patch at 1:00 AM PT, PlayStation 4 fans will receive it at 2:00 AM PT, and Xbox One owners will see it downloaded at 3:00 AM PT. Once the update is live, DICE and Electronic Arts will officially share the full patch notes with players.

Although there’s no telling exactly what all is going to be in Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Update 1.2 except for the aforementioned limited time Jetpack Cargo mode, community manager Mat Everett previously explained that Arcade mode is also getting overhauled with changes to the game’s AI changes and more. There will be tweaks to classes, reinforcements, as well as core combat, and there will also be level design updates and other general fixes to improve the shooter’s quality of life.

While some Star Wars Battlefront 2 fans will possibly see Update 1.2 as a step in the right direction for the game, many will likely continue to steer clear of the title following its less than favorable launch last year, with the first-person shooter having received a veritable tsunami of backlash due to its loot box controversy. After all, Electronic Arts has recently confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront 2’s unpopular microtransaction system is coming back soon, but the publisher has done little to reveal if the system will receive any meaningful changes.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
