During the official EA Play stream, developer Respawn Entertainment gave the world its first glimpse of gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. This highlighted some of the “thoughtful combat” the developer promised and even showcased some of the Fallen Order Force Powers that protagonist Cal will be able to use. One thing that caught the eye of Star Wars fans during the gameplay stream, though, was a hidden Easter egg from Star Wars: Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith.

At one point during the gameplay reveal, Cal is forced to shimmy across a ledge beneath a couple of Stormtroopers. An explosion is then heard in the background, which apparently prompts one of the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order enemies to utter the phrase, “at least we have the high ground.” The phrase is clearly adapted from Obi-Wan Kenobi’s well-beloved Episode 3 statement that has also inspired a ton of memes.

For those less versed in Star Wars lore, Obi-Wan Kenobi faces his former apprentice Anakin Skywalker on the fiery planet of Mustafar near the end of Episode 3. The Jedi Master bests the new Sith Lord in combat and declares, “It’s over, Anakin! I have the high ground!”

Seeing this pivotal moment in Star War history revived in Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order may hint at the title’s deep connections to the lore of the franchise, but this not the only moment during the gameplay reveal that showcases how interconnected the new game is. Star Wars: Rogue One character Saw Gerrera (who first appeared in Star Wars: Clone Wars) is a prominent figure in the gameplay reveal, and it even shows a KX droid (the same model of K-2 ) as well.

Those who haven’t seen the new Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order gameplay would do well to check it out, but since E3 isn’t over, there’s more to be learned in the coming days. It’s been confirmed that the new Star Wars game will also appear at the Xbox E3 press conference, so stay tuned as E3 marches ever forward.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 15.
