Fighting your way through Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order can be quite challenging for the inexperienced. It has a combat system not entirely unlike games under the “soulsborne” moniker, such that players have to be calculated in their actions, dodging and striking at just the right time so as not to meet an untimely demise.
Thankfully, just like other games in this subgenre, Jedi Fallen Order allows you to bolster your health pool with additional Stim Canisters that can be deployed by your droid pal BD-1. Having the additional Stim Canisters can certainly help make some of the difficult boss fights easier. This guide will show you where to find every Stim Canister for BD-1 at the earliest point you can acquire them in the game.
What To Look For
Stim Canister upgrades are found throughout the game in yellow storage crates. These are not to be confused with the green or black storage crates that cosmetic upgrades like lightsaber parts come in. There are 8 upgrades available on the various locales that Cal Kestis visits that bring you to a maximum of 10 Stim Canisters.
Stim Canisters Per Location
- Bogano - 2 Zeffo - 4 Kashyyyk - 1 Dathomir - 1
Stim Canister 1 - Bogano
Requires:
- Wall Run
Once Cal gets the wall run ability, you can make your way back toward the Mantis, stopping at the first meditation point you found when you landed. Climb up the nearby vine wall, then head forward, jumping across the plateaus until you reach a crater-like formation.
Head down into the crater and use your newfound wall run ability to cross the gap. Climb down the vines in the hole in front of you to your first stim upgrade.
Stim Canister 2 - Zeffo
As soon as you land on Zeffo, you’ll have immediate access to an easy stim upgrade in the Derelict Hangar area. Head towards the far right of the landing pad and follow the path up and around the rocks until you come across two Scazz feasting on a stormtrooper. Dispatch both of them then take a left towards the first waterfall. Once above the first waterfall, you’ll need to fight a few more Scazz. Take a right, past the second waterfall into a cave.
Once inside, use your lightsaber to light your way and follow the implied path around until you can climb on top of the metal platforms. Follow them up until you reach your second stim upgrade.
Stim Canister 3 - Bogano
- Force Push
This Stim Canister is easy to find, yet challenging to obtain. It requires some precision and patience because the chest is locked behind a puzzle. The puzzle isn’t far from when you land. In fact, it’s directly beneath the landing pad. Follow the path leading down below the landing pad and make your way toward the pile of junk tucked away in a corner.
Line yourself up so the big Zeffo ball is between you and the yellow chest and use Force Push. Quickly run up to your left along the fence and stand right next to the rocks, while pointing your camera directly at the pressure plate. If timed correctly, the ball will roll along the stone, directly onto the pressure plate. Be patient, because this takes a little trial and error.
Stim Canister 4 - Zeffo
- Wall Run Force Push Powered Zipline
This canister upgrade isn’t quite as tricky as ball puzzle on Bogano, but it does still require somewhat precise timing. In the Imperial Dig Site, start from the central platform that connects the two main walls of the large room. Take the only zipline from this platform up towards the meditation point, and prepare to dodge off the zipline before it launches you off the end.
Your goal is to land on the narrow platform leading left from the tall metal support pillar. If you overshoot, or land on the lower platform, make your way back to the meditation point as your starting spot, then follow the ziplines up and to the left, then down towards the main platform. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Once you land on the platform, turn left and force push the cracked wall. Go inside and you’ll see the upgrade chest on the ground next to some red Imperial storage crates. There’s also a force echo in this room.
Stim Canister 5 - Kashyyyk
- Rebreather
This Stim canister can be found at the Origin Lake on Kashyyyk on your second visit to the planet. After you speak to Chieftain Tarfful, you will receive a rebreather, allowing Cal to breathe underwater and explore new areas.
Dive underwater and swim past the pathway that you used to get up to Tarfful, taking you to a lone lung plant that you can use to bounce up to the vined wall in front of you. However, instead of climbing the wall, turn around and bounce up to another lung plant, and another, until you land on a large branch (or root?) that has the stim upgrade chest on it.
Stim Canister 6 - Zeffo
- Wall Run Jedi Flip Rebreather
This Stim Canister is found at the Venator Wreckage on Zeffo. You may have noticed on your last trek through this area, a Stim Canister upgrade chest up on a ledge after you pass through the remains of a Venator engine. Don’t let that simple location deceive you because the path to it is arduous.
Now that you have the Jedi Flip from Kashyyyk, you can jump into the engines past the Probe Droids at the Crash Site. Make your way through the wreckage, until you come back outside (you discover a heartbreaking tale about Order 66 as you explore the ship). This little outcropping where you exit the ship is where you saw the chest from down below.
Stim Canister 7 - Zeffo
- Jedi Flip Force Pull
This upgrade can be found in the Ice Caves on Zeffo. Coming from the Venator Wreckage, make your way through the Ice Caves until you reach the Meditation Point closest to the elevator that takes you to the Windswept Ruins. Walk left toward the arena-like area where a Jotaz busts out of the wall.
Continue past that area until you see a vine in the distance. Jedi Flip off the ledge and quickly Force Pull the vine toward you, then swing across the two vines until you land on the platform with the stim upgrade.
Stim Canister 8 - Dathomir
- Wall Run Jedi Flip Climbing Claws
The last Stim Canister upgrade is found on Dathomir at the Nightmare Ruins. When you reach the ruins with the statues on either side of the giant doorway, hang a right and run down the stone outcropping.
Wall run across the gap and follow the one-way path around, fighting undead nightsisters and nightbrothers along the way, until you find the upgrade chest on a ledge high above the ruin doorway.
