Are you wondering what kind of horrors Blizzard has planned for you to battle in Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty? If so, the below mission spoilers and enemy screenshots are for you!
Earlier today, StarCraft’s official twitter (@StarCraft) mentioned that the single player of the upcoming sequel will have “surprise” customized units for our enjoyment and sent along a link to a picture of two squads of marines battling a vertically gigantic scorpion spinal cord Zerg. The jpg is named “SCIIBrutalisk.jpg” so the the Zerg shown is presumably the Brutalisk that sclegacy.com had previously reported would be found during the Mission: Mining Your Own Business as the Big Game Hunter achievement kill.
Blizzard sure knows how to make monsters that make you stare and drool as you crave the upcoming game release. They’ve already shown their overflowing amounts of creativity with original World of Warcraft monsters and with the expected release of the World of Warcraft expansion Cataclysm on the horizon, they’ve got lots of monster ideas where that came that. With StarCraft 2 and more WoW on the way, Blizzard has a full house of sequel IP to be released in the next year or two and they’re both looking amazing (and Diablo III after that).
Aren’t you dying to die to a brutalisk?
For a full list of the already revealed units and models of the Terran, Protoss and Zerg see the features list on the StarCraft 2 official site. The StarCraft 2 beta is expected sometime in 2010.
