Stardew Valley is no stranger to introducing creative crafting recipes for players to use. Most recipes help to make farms more efficient. The Stardew Valley 1.5 recipes can help with a wide range of activities, such as bombs helping players to gather stones much more easily. Other recipes like the keg can help players brew artisan goods like coffee and wine. The only catch is that players need to gather the materials to make the item, but even then, most recipes won’t require too much work.

It’s no surprise that 1.5 added in a ton of new recipes, some of which are the most powerful items you can get in the game.

Updated May 18, 2021 by Jessica Thomas: Stardew Valley 1.5 brought with it a ton of great crafting recipes that make work on the farm even easier. There are crafting recipes that can help speed up machine processing time, some that help you keep up with your farm stats, and even a few that make fishing easier. If you have an established farm, then you can go ahead and start working on unlocking the ones below. Most will be unlocked by a quick quest, but a few will require you to meet Mr. Qi in on Ginger Island. The Stardew Valley crafting recipes below will all make your life much easier and will help improve the flow of working on your farm.

13 Solar Panel

The Solar Panel is an item that can be earned from the Island Ingredients special request given by Caroline after you reach Ginger Island. To make the Solar Panel, you will need five irons bars, five gold bars, and ten refined quartz.

The Solar Panel can be placed on your farm and will produce one battery pack every seven sunny days.

12 Dark Sign

The Dark Sign is a nifty organizational item that was also introduced in Stardew Valley 1.5. The Dark Sign can be obtained from Krobus once you have reached his three heart level. He will send the recipe to you in the mail, and to make it, you will need five bat wings and five bone fragments.

The Dark Sign will display an image of any inventory item you choose and can make field organizing a breeze.

11 Fairy Dust

Fairy Dust can be obtained by completing the Pirate’s Wife quest after you reach Ginger Island. The recipe is made by combining a Fairy Rose with a diamond. Fairy Dust can be used on machines to make them finish making or processing an item immediately.

Using it on a cask that is making wine can also help to improve the quality of your wine by one instantaneously.

10 Mini-Obelisk

The mini-obelisk can be gained after the player completes the special order A Curious Substance for the Wizard. The obelisk will require 30 pieces of hardwood, 20 solar essences, and 3 gold bars, all of which are now easier to get thanks to the recent update and the addition of mahogany seeds for hardwood farming.

The player needs to make two mini-obelisks and then place them at two different points on their farm. This will allow them to warp between the two.

9 Farm Computer

The Stardew farm computer recipe can be earned by doing Aquatic Overpopulation or Biome Balance. The computer will require a dwarven gadget, which can be found through geodes, one battery pack, and ten refined quartz. Once assembled, it can be placed and then activated to give the player stats about the farm.

The computer can tell the player the number of crops grown, the fodder they have, and even if the farm cave is ready to harvest.

8 Geode Crusher

The geode crusher is extremely simple to get as it is a reward for one of the easiest special orders. All the player needs to do is complete the special order called Cave Patrol, which has them kill weak monsters. Afterward, they need to gather one diamond, 30 stones, and two gold bars.

The geode crusher takes one coal to work and will break open a single geode every hour.

7 Bone Mill

The bone mill is a recipe that every crop-focused farm should have to cut costs. The recipe will come from the Fragments of the Past special order, which is generally pretty easy to complete. The recipe will require ten bone fragments, three clays, and 20 stones, all low-cost items.

Players can put in any types of bones they find, including fossils, to obtain fertilizer, speed-gro, and tree fertilizer.

6 Monster Musk

Monster hunting is a great way to gather resources, but depending on the day, it can go either really fast or really slow. Monster musk is a new craftable item that works to attract monsters to the player. The recipe is simple, only taking 30 slimes and 30 bat wings to craft.

You’ll earn the recipe from the Prismatic Jelly quest, and each bottle will last for ten real-world minutes.

5 Heavy Tapper

Tapping trees is a slow process that allows the player to get needed resources like oak resin. The Heavy Tapper recipe can be purchased from Qi’s shop for 20 Qi gems. It takes a radioactive bar to make, which can be forged from ore earned in the Danger in the Deep quest and one coal.

The Heavy Tapper will produce items from trees at twice the normal rate and is especially useful on mushroom trees.

4 Hyper-Speed Gro

This is an incredibly powerful recipe perfect for helping the player’s island farm grow even faster. Hyper-speed gro is a recipe that can be purchased for 30 Qi gems. The recipe requires a single radioactive ore, three bone fragments, and one solar essence, making it pretty expensive to make.

The hyper-speed growill increase a crop’s growth rate by 33% and is great for multi-yield crops.

3 Magic Bait

Magic bait is a recipe that is better suited to those who love to fish or who are trying to catch every fish in the game. The recipe can be purchased for 20 Qi gems and is a single-use item. To make it, players will need to gather one radioactive ore and combine it with three pieces of bug meat.

The magic bait grants the player the ability to catch any fish at any time of the year and in any weather.

2 Quality Bobber

For players looking for a bit of an easier recipe that still helps with fishing, the quality bobber is perfect. It is earned from the Juicy Bugs Wanted special order that simply requires the player to collect 100 pieces of bug meat. To craft it, players only need one copper bar, 20 sap, and five solar essences.

The bobber helps to boost the quality of fish that are being captured while it’s attached to the player’s rod.

1 Hopper

The hopper is arguably one of the most useful Stardew Valley crafting recipes in the game. It can be bought from Qi’s shop for 50 Qi gems. It does take one radioactive bar, one iridium bar, and ten pieces of hardwood to make. The hopper is able to move items that are placed into the machines sat in front of it.

It can help with processing geodes or creating metal bars to help players save time.
