Four years on from Stardew Valley’s original release, creator Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, is still releasing more content. Having announced a new major update to Stardew Valley earlier this year and the possibility of a physical release, Barone recently dropped a tweet hinting at new end-game content.

It’s been just over half a year since Stardew Valley got its massive 1.4 update, which added features like fish ponds, a gift tracker to help you remember what villagers like and dislike, and a variety of new craftable clothing. Three months after that, Barone began work on another major update, and he recently posted a Tweet something that’ll change in the 1.5 update. The tweet has a picture of Willy’s fishing shop, now with a door behind the counter. Whether this is going to be his bedroom, an area that requires a good relationship with the affiliated villager to access, or a part of the “significant new piece of end-game content” Barone says will be in the 1.5 update is yet to be determined.

What else is going to be added in the 1.5 update? We don’t have many details, and Barone says the new update is “still in a ’nose to the grindstone’ phase, but some good milestones have been met.” We do know that players will be able to grow banana trees, one of several tropical fruits that won out in a poll Barone had earlier this year. Other than this new teaser, these are the only concrete details on what will be in Stardew Valley version 1.5.

Stardew Valley is available for Android, iOS, Linux, MacOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
