Stardew Valley is a long-running life sim that hasn’t lost any of its charms. Along with it reaching new record numbers of Stardew Valley players, this game continues to grow, giving players new items to grind for. One of these is the Prismatic Jelly, an extremely rare drop.
Prismatic Jelly
PC players that have access to the Stardew Valley update 1.5 who have seen the Wizard’s request for Prismatic Jelly might be wondering just what this very rare item is for. It seems that the only use in the game currently is to fulfill the Wizard’s quest and nothing more. However, it’s worth going after just for this; players can get themselves 5,000g and the player’s choice of a mini-obelisk or monster musk recipes. If players are in need of a quick source of money, this is a item that can help fill up their purses.
Where to Find It
Stardew Valley’s Prismatic Jelly only drops from a single kind of rare spawn enemy called the Prismatic Slime. These hard-to-find slimes won’t pop up often, so players will have to keep a close eye out for them. They look like regular slimes, but they change color slowly as they move around, making them easy to pick out from their ubiquitous slimy cousins.
While the Prismatic Slimes are not a new Stardew Valley enemy, players may not know exactly where to look for them.
Finding Slimes
These rainbow-colored slimes are located in the normal, local mines. While they are more likely to spawn from floors 90 to 115, players can find these critters on any level. Since these spawns are extremely rare, and the Wizard only gives players 7 days to complete this slimy challenge, they will want to be sure that they can reach those mine levels as soon as possible. Now that Stardew Valley has split-screen co-op, players can delve the mines with friends to help find and kill these elusive enemies.
The best farming method is to zoom out the resolution and screen as far as they will go. This will allow players to see the whole floor of the mine level at one time; look for a slime, and move onto the next level if there are no Prismatic Slimes to be had. Cutting down on search time is absolutely necessary to get the Wizard’s Quest done in time for the 7-day limit.
Unfortunately, most players won’t be able to access Prismatic Slimes or Jellies just yet; the console version of Stardew Valley’s update 1.5 will be hopefully hitting consoles by the end of this month, but until then, these Jellies will only be for those on PC.
Stardew Valley is available now on mobile devices, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
