Song of Horror - esteemed horror game developed by Raiser Games and published by Protocol Games in October last year - has just received a big ol’ juicy update.

The third person, fixed-camera survival horror adventure recently saw the launch of its fifth and final episode last month, and now there’s even more for horror-loving fans to sink their teeth into

Update 1.22 has added some bulk in the form of a new playable character as well as the introduction of the H.P. Lovecraft difficulty setting - Song of Horror’s most challenging one yet. This new difficulty setting will be unlockable after you beat the game for the first time in M.R. James or Edgar Allan Poe modes.

Along with some standard bug fixes, the update is introducing some more instances of “random paranormal activity” to Jeremy Hartwood Mental Hospital. You know, just so you can get yourself to experience sheer terror that much more efficiently.

Song of Horror has been praised by many critics as being one of the best horror games to grace our screens in recent years, so you should definitely give it a whirl yourself.
