Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is a unique farming experience all about culture. You start as a farmer that is in between three towns that live in very different ways. One of the towns resembles a small Japanese village, and a popular bachelor named Yuzuki lives there after he appears in the Summer of the first year.
Many fans are taken in by Yuzuki’s refined nature and his ability as a jeweler. While all marriage candidates in the game have a unique path, Yuzuki is one that tends to stick out due to his strange, but romantic courting of the player.
10 He Loves Simple Things
One of the best things about Yuzuki is that the player doesn’t have to go crazy when trying to prepare his gifts. In fact, Yuzuki is a very simple man who is completely okay with being given gifts in simple wrapping paper and boxes. This makes him easier to please than some of the other candidates. Yuzuki doesn’t have a complicated personality, which is shown by his happiness in just receiving a plain wrapping paper.
9 His Taste Buds Aren’t Complicated
Not only is he happy with basic wrapping paper, but feeding him isn’t a hard task either. Yuzuki loves foods like Cherries, Sweet Potato Rice, and Chestnut Rice, that don’t take a ton of expensive ingredients to make. If fans don’t want to cook or grow trees, then they can simply give him forged honey. Some of his favorite gifts are incredibly simple to get, as it doesn’t take much to impress Yuzuki.
8 He’s Incredibly Committed To His Work
One of Yuzuki’s good points is just how committed to being a great jeweler he is. In fact, his grandparents even state that he tends to sleep late since he keeps himself up late at night, working on projects. This is likely due to the fact that when he is working, he goes off into his own world.
Like most artists in the series, Yuzuki goes above and beyond to create pieces of art that he knows others will love.
7 He Hates Wine
One surprising thing to know about Yuzuki is that he actually isn’t a huge fan of alcohol. Yuzuki dislikes every type of wine in the game, and fans can lose friendship points if they give it to him. This is an interesting detail since there aren’t a ton of characters in the series who dislike alcohol. This may be because of the way he was raised or because he feels that alcohol hurts his ability to craft well.
6 Coffee Is His Worst Nightmare
Most players easily avoid finding out what Yuzuki hates the most in the game. For fans who have had the misfortune of offering him coffee, though, they know just how much he doesn’t like the beverage. While it’s not clear why coffee seems to be the bane of Yuzuki’s existence. Fans that are planning to romance him will want to avoid giving him coffee at all costs to keep their friendship points high.
5 He Isn’t Great At Foraging
One of the last cutscenes has the player finding Yuzuki lying in the road. After getting a doctor to take a look at him, it’s determined that Yuzuki was out eating wild mushrooms and ate a poisonous one. While this just upsets his stomach for a bit, it still concerns for those around him. Yuzuki seems especially bad at foraging and should probably leave the work to the farmers for his own safety.
4 He Is A Traditional Gentleman
Many fans of the game have commented on how tame that Yuzuki is compared to the other bachelor. Yuzuki may even be the most respectful bachelor in the game as all of his advances are made with careful consideration. In fact, he seems more interested in spending time together than kissing.
Yuzuki likes to take things slow, which is a huge plus for players that like less aggressive partners in games.
3 The Player Inspires Him
While the player usually influences most of the townsfolk, in the case of Yuzuki, he is really inspired by the player character. In fact, it’s only because of them that he is able to finish his project. Yuzuki is an artist and needs inspiration in order to complete his work, which he is lacking at first. When players begin to befriend him, he will start to finish the project he has been stumped on.
2 You Need To Know His Grandparents
Some players have trouble getting Yuzuki to appear in town and can’t find out why. As it turns out, if fans don’t meet his grandparents, then Yuzuki won’t show up in their game until they do. This helps to show just how close Yuzuki is to the people that helped to raise him. His grandparents can also help to give players more insight into the young man as they progress through the game.
1 He Used To Be Sickly
One of the things that many players may glaze over is that at one point in his life Yuzuki was quite weak. In fact, Yuzuki regularly found himself visiting the hot springs to help relieve his fatigue. As he grew up, he did get healthier, but still likes to relax in the hot spring from time to time. This gives a bit more insight into how Yuzuki may have gotten involved in making jewelry from a young age.
