The newest entry in the Story of Seasons franchise, formerly known as Harvest Moon, is now available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo Switch. Subtitled Friends of Mineral Town, this enhanced port brings a classic entry of Story of Seasons to PC and a new console generation.
The listing on the Switch eShop comes a month after Europe got the opportunity to pre-purchase the game. Those who buy Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town before its release will also get the cow costume DLC, which normally costs $1.99, for free. Alternatively, players can buy a physical copy of the game from the XSEED Games website, which will come with a cute Strawberry Cow plush instead of the costume.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is an enhanced port of the 2003 Game Boy Advance game Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, which itself was an enhanced port of the 1999 PlayStation game Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. While the series may not have the Harvest Moon name, it’s still able to bring back its older games, such as this classic. One of the more recent entries in the Story of Seasons franchise was a crossover with the famous anime/manga character Doraemon.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will be available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
