The Clay Bottle, now just referred to as the Water Bottle, is a craftable vessel for water that can carry five servings at once. This makes it the largest water vessel in Stranded Deep, and it’s also probably the hardest to get.

Compared to the simple Coconut Flask and even the Leather Water Flask, which is easier to come by if your first few islands have a decent supply of boar, the process behind crafting a Water Bottle is a bit more complicated. Once complete, though, players will be able to have a reliable source of clean water that lasts much longer than the alternatives.

How To Make A Water Bottle

If you’re tired of running around with Coconut Flasks with hardly any water inside, here’s everything you need to go up a level with the Water Bottle.

  • Furnace Two Clay One Lashing

Water Bottles are crafted near a Furnace using the Clay and Lashing. Simple enough.

  • Clay is generally found in the shallow waters around an island. These rocks are large, colored like clay, and are highlighted with the word “Clay” when you swim near them. Lashing is crafted out of plant materials, check out our guide here.

Once you have the necessary materials next to a Furnace, you will be able to craft a Water Bottle. Like other crafting stations in Stranded Deep, you do not need to interact with the station directly. Just stand near the Furnace and then open the crafting menu. The Water Bottle comes under the Consumables tab.

How To Fill A Water Bottle

A Water Bottle is filled at a Water Still and will hold up to five servings of water, compared to three for the Leather Waterskin and even fewer for the Coconuts. Here is our full guide on how to collect and use water in Stranded Deep.

Water Bottles can be used to transport large amounts of water. This will keep the player hydrated on longer trips to faraway islands. With five servings per Bottle, it also makes a great tool for watering your garden plots.
